Don't some US states have mental health restrictions, though? I've seen multiple troons complain that they wouldn't be able to buy a gun legally because of their mental health history.

I'm also sure that I've seen some people mention their state having storage requirements for guns.

1. Killing 50 muslims with a bomb anonymously would have been far better because he wouldn't have been caught. If he wasn't caught, he wouldn't need to spend his remaining life in prison. And he could have done it again if he wasn't caught. And done more for "the cause".
2. Calling a guy who threw his life away to kill 50 random muzzies instead of doing it smarter or targeting someone who actually mattered a genius is giving him more credit than he deserves. In my opinion.

One common mental health question in the States is to ask whether you've ever been on an involuntary psych hold. People can lie, and due to strict medical privacy laws, that can't really be checked like a criminal background.

Storage laws are mainly for homes with minors in the house.

It can be checked with the authorisation of the person concerned. Just make giving that authorisation a requirement of application. That's how you get around medical privacy here in situations where there's a legitimate need for the information.

It's not like the US, most people here are rather apathetic. The small group of people that attempt to stand up for their freedom of speech are usually seen as crazy people. If New Zealand wants their own watered down version of freedom of speech/expression, fine they can do that, but you can't expect the rest of the world to follow you down the road to dystopia.

The law here talks about things being "injurious to the public good", I honestly see it the other way around, that law is injurious to a free and fair democracy. The Chief Censor has no role in a democracy that values freedom of speech. I think their powers should at the most be only able to say something might be harmful but not actually be able to prosecute you for it. It's only a matter of time before it's used to quash dissent, in fact lulz.com was blocked just for being critical of this situation, they didn't even have the video.
