PCOS causes insulin resistance, which in turn causes the patient to have a slightly lower metabolism than another woman of the same size; roughly a TDEE of 50-100 calories less.As someone with PCOS, I can confirm that this is true. As I lost weight, I noticed that I had less spots on my arms (the only visual symptom I had), and eventually they went away completely. It's not a surprise to me at all that most of the women in the OP are obese because of this. I assume that the heavier the woman, the more hair that will grow, and those who don't even care enough to lose weight wouldn't shave that shit anyway because of laziness or just not caring.
One can see how this could turn into a weight gain of 10-20 lbs easily over the course of a couple years. However, all it takes is being mindful about not burning as many calories, and cutting out one snack or a few bites of food per day in order to maintain a regular body weight. It's not the impossible task most fats would have you think.
Being fat in and of itself can cause PCOS, because excess body fat acts as an endocrine organ and excretes estrogen, as others have mentioned. So because fat women who develop PCOS already overeat, they're now in an ouroboros of weight gain. They are already eating more than most women of their size, plus burning calories more slowly.
The hair growth, well, that happens to most people with the condition. You can take hormonal birth control nonstop (no week off for a period) to help control the hormone surges and cysts from developing. This will also help reduce the hair growth. If you're unlucky enough to have dark hair, shaving or waxing is gonna be your only option. A lot of hairy women without PCOS live like this.
The subjects of this thread are being gross to get attention. There's literally no reason to self flagellate and make yourself as unattractive as possible, then complain about it while preening like it makes you special.
