Theoretically, they could apply for a no contact order, which prohibits any form of physical, verbal, or written contact between two parties, including but not limited to calling, email, texting, etc. Twitter would certainly be covered by such an order. In this case, they'd be best served by calling it a stalking incident, since Chris keeps attempting to contact them after being repeatedly blocked and is now sending them those "apology" pieces from his alt accounts. Granted, they'd have to prove that they feel like they're in some distress or danger from Chris tweeting at them, but if they got the right judge they could probably get an order filed.

No idea. I doubt they really intend to go through with it- pretty sure they're just hoping the threat is enough to get Chris to fuck off and leave them alone.

These OCs may be nice to Chris's face, but I bet they're saying all kinds of mean things about him when his back is turned.

He believes they're real himself. Like, he's aware that some "naive" people exist in the world who don't believe in alternative dimensions, but Chris would just talk down to such people. "ugh, you're so close minded, it's obvious that magic is real"

Now what would be interesting is if they drew their character (doing it competently, of course, in comparison to Chris' chicken scratch) telling Chris that they've never met him in the other dimension and that he's harassing them over there and they're going to call the cops if he doesn't fuck off.

Wouldn't he just default to "YOU NEED TO CONNECT BETTER WITH YOUR OC THEY NEVER SAID THAT IN C-197 I MET THEM AND THEY TOLD ME!"

He's doing some serious mental gymnastics with merge logic to avoid blocks... would he really go along with them using their OCs to keep him blocked?

From a legal standpoint, most companies' Twitters probably don't want to make fun of/tag actual people. It's a lot easier to do so with an OC, especially an OC that is at least 90% Sonic.

None of which matters to Chris, though. He's so thoroughly invested in Sonichu that he probably sees Sonichu and himself as being one in the same, so a jab at one is a jab at the other.

If you block someone and they persistently evade that block to fuck with you, that could definitely be harassment. There's nothing unique about the internet when it comes to harassment.

Like it's likely that what Hirtes does counts as criminal harassment.

It's just that it's rare that people want to go through the effort to prosecute internet stuff.

Now, I think he'd get frustrated the first or second time around. But I know how he'd try to argue this away. He'd say that the characters are being forcefully puppeted around by the artist, like they're actors playing a scene (against their will, he'd say).

But they should persist. "No Chris! This is what I, *stupid cartoon character*, really think! Stop contacting me or *author*."

I just want to see what happens if you play along by Chris' own rules.

That or having to redraw all their OCs refuting the claims over and over again would prove too much effort and he'd finally cut his losses. Either way, I'd love to see it play out like this.

Yeah, no, I'm not arguing that he's actually stalking them, merely that I think if they were really going to go through with it, they'd have a slightly better chance of securing a no-contact order if they were to say "this weirdo is cyber-stalking me and might show up at a con I plan to be at to try and confront me in person." That said, I do think Chris is teetering dangerously close to harassment at this point, given that he's using his alt accounts to follow people who've blocked him and send out those "apology" pieces.

I mean, it still feels really uncomfortable and creepy. Just imagine if this were happening in real life, you tell someone to leave you alone, because you know they're a creepy pervert, but they won't. Instead, they go to your seminars, lectures, and even stop by your house and leave you gifts. At first, they chimp out, but to avoid getting caught, they just watch you in the bushes. Ocassionally, they leave gifts like Chris did to Nowacking.

Gift giving is also a tactic used by stalkers to exhert control.

Chris hasn't focused on a specific person. More like a specific group of people, and the brony community is already held to such a low esteem, there really isn't much to worry about. The only real issue is he brings hostile trolls to users with small twitter presence, and they get bombarded with Chris' nudes, trolls, and people pretending to be Chris.
