For those who don’t know, Mermaids is a UK charity that encourages children to transition. In case anyone here is stil under any illusions that Harry is somehow rational or not a complete piece of shit.

Also, the more I see these avatars, the more I’m convinced this thread may end up in Animal Control.

Helen Webberley is the doctor that mermaids refer people to.

She was recently convicted of running an unlicensed clinic. The GMC are investigating her.

The care quality commission (cqc) investigates one of her clinics and this report is damning to say the least. Edited to add: one of these links says she charged 150quid an hour, so increase my rough figures accordingly.

Note the amount of money being made from prescriptions here- a private prescription in the UK will cost about 75- 100 quid. Probably nearer the upper end of that in this case because there are so few doctors who would prescribe blockers or hormones. So the report says 6700 prescriptions in a year - that’s half/three quarters of a million quid a year with almost no overheads.

The above shows clearly that webberly is making a lot of cash from all this. The cqc report is damning on the risk to minors from poor safeguarding and practices.

Mermaids isn’t in the US it’s in the UK where tabloid media is huge. With higher profile activity comes the risk their predatory ways get exposed in the UK media.

Has this been put here yet? It's an expose' article from last month that ran in The Times of London. I believe this article may be what got the ball rolling on the National Lotttery looking into whether or not it is in the public's best interest to fund the creeps at Mermaids.

She forgot about "lesbian icon" Riley J Dennis and similar.
It's really creepy to me how adult troons generally don't get that much surgery - they usually go on cross-sex hormones and sometimes get facial surgery or mastectomies if they're FtM, but most don't get or even want genital surgery - but Mermaids is pushing kids into all the medical transition they can. If the kids were just left to grow up naturally, maybe with mental health care to support them, and then they could decide what surgery they wanted, most of them wouldn't choose all of it.
