Franchises you wish would just DIE and GO AWAY - And ones you don't care about.

Star Wars, Game of Thrones (because other clones of it are pretty much poisoning the fantasy genre), Marvel movies...

and personally speaking, the Brian Herbert/Kevin J Anderson Dune novels. I think they're done but if Brian Herbert sniffs out a penny he can make zombifying his dad's creation, he will.

"they said early on they were working off of Franks notes to write. by the second book they were down to a post-it note stuck on the fridge that said "Write more Dune books"

-All those shitty movie remakes of Dr Seuss stories. The Lorax, The Grinch, etc. Really anything from Illumination Entertainment.
-Jurassic Park movies. Recent movies take themselves way too seriously.
-Most sports games, particularly Madden and Fifa.

-Remakes of older games that make the game shittier. The Zelda Majora's Mask remake is the first to come to mind. The Secret of Mana remake was absolutely atrocious.
-Pokemon. I'm a diehard Pokemon fan, but Gamefreak has been treading on thin ice in recent years. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are pointless games that feel like $40 DLC for the original Sun/Moon games. Didn't even bother with Let's Go. No more Kanto pandering, no more "nice" rivals, and no more unskippable tutorials.
-Zombie survival games like The Last of Us and Dead Rising. I don't feel any fear or dread from zombies. Make the zombies faster and deadlier like in Left 4 Dead.

Not a single mention of Call of Duty.
CoD basically is dead at this point. I think it was with Ghosts that people really started complaining that the games were repetitive trash, and that was 5 years ago. They're still trying to pull every drop they can out of its barren udders and it's not working. I've seen next to no hype for any of their games in the past few years, only a week of people right after its announcement grumbling about how it's going to suck, and then nothing. Its peak of popularity was when they released Black Ops and MW2 and it was everywhere then, whereas now it's completely irrelevant.

Not really a franchise per se but the modern day AAA video game industry as a whole needs to die. Too much woke and 'current year' shenanigans combined with a disregard of the actual game makers by greedy corporate publishers is churning the medium into a slurry of focused group mediocre sludge. Sadly I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon, the industry has become literally too big to fail.

Terminator. End it, already, I don't care if the films have regained some quality, they will never be like the first two.

As for more modern things? Pirates of the Caribbean, bit of a no-brainer, probably shouldn't have even mentioned it but the continuation of this Johny Depp shit has actively degraded the theme park rides they were originally based on, which is a sin.

Yoshi needs to take a break after his latest game comes out. My god, the shit to good ratio for this series is off the charts, and thats by normal vidya standards, compare it to the rest of Nintendo's product lines and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

And as a last one.... every American newspaper comic that has been going for more than two years after its original author's death. RIP in peaces King Features Syndicate.

TV shows:
Simpsons: has been bad longer than it has been good now, hopefully disney will do the world a favour .
Walking Dead: outside season 1 the show has always been shit, it's at the point even the fans are ready for it be over going by the dropping ratings.
Any "talent" show like the many Got Talent shows from around the world, how many of the winners even go onto have a good career that lasts over a year?
Mrs. Brown's Boys: worst UK comedy show, never was funny and doubt it will ever become funny.
Bill Nye Saves the World: 3.6 rating on imdb, yet netflix has given it 3 seasons
Big Mouth: Netflix trying to do a adult cartoon show, truly unfunny and awful.
Cops: Youtube has replaced the show, why they keep making the show is beyond me.
Power Rangers: I get trying to make movies about it, but do kids even care about the show any more?

Games:
Dead Rising: after 3 and 4, the series needs to die however it seems like Capcom agrees with them closing the studio behind them.
Any EA sports games: same game every year, if they at least changed stuff I could get why people would buy it every year however they really don't change much at all.
Assassin's Creed: Too much milking, the sci fi stuff should have been dropped long ago and the change to be more like a RPG was a bad one.
Dynasty Warriors: Spin off using different ips are far more interesting than the main series now.
Mass Effect: After the last one, think everyone is hoping it's dead.

Movies:
Toy Story: 3rd was a fitting end, 4th one has no reason to be a thing apart from money.
Star Wars: Last Jedi wasn't the worst Star Wars movie but it is the one that made me stop caring about Star Wars, even if the next one is really good I don't care, just want to see the cash cow die.
Children of the Corn/Hellraiser: Just stop, been over 25 years at least since the last good movie from ethier, do both series even have a fanbase at this point?
Harry Potter: Only one I liked was the 3rd one however I think even the fans of this series are getting fed up with the Fantastic Beasts movies.
DC Animated Movie Universe: Even the people who hate the live action DC movie Universe would admit it's better then this trash, after the great Flashpoint movie they started this universe starting with the awful Justice League: War, and it kept getting worse.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Disney are planning a new one without Depp which is better then doing another movie of his old news Jack Sparrow routine, however rather see the franchise just ended for good.
Terminator: the second one is where it should have ended, while T3 was watchable the ones after kept getting worse and worse.
Die Hard: The movies turned him into pretty much into a superhero now, which is totally missing the point of the character. They are now planning a prequel, does anyone really want to see that?

New Terminator. End it, already, I don't care if the films have regained some quality, they will never be like the first two.
As a huge fan of the franchise I agree. James Cameron was the key in crafting a great story with amazing characters and awesome action scenes. The sequels are okay but come across as generic action movies with sci-fi elements thrown into the mix.

Technically, not a franchise, but fuck it: Saturday Night Live has become obnoxious and it has to take a long, long break.
It sucks I missed watching Saturday Night Live in the 90's because great comedians like Chris Farley were fucking hilarious. Thankfully their official YouTube channel has videos of their classic bits:

Warcraft. they will ruin the remake, Wows story is a joke and the movie just looks good if you are one of those chinks...

Children of the Corn/Hellraiser: Just stop, been over 25 years at least since the last good movie from ethier, do both series even have a fanbase at this point?

The last Hellraiser movie Judgement was surprisingly good even if it didn't have Doug Bradley. Give it a shot. I think Hellraiser can be redeemed especially now that the Weinstein's are out of the picture.

DC Animated movies are a little hit and miss now. Suicide Squad Hell To Pay was great. And Justice League Dark was also great. I never saw Gotham by Gaslight and I hated the new Death of Superman two part-er.

Disagree, thought Judgement was the worst one yet, also thought Justice League Dark was trash as well, Suicide Squad Hell To Pay was okay I guess.

To each his own. If you think that was the worst Hellraiser then I don't think you've seen Hellworld or Deader or Revelations (the found footage one).
