Why does it take the both of them to get groceries anyway? I mean, maybe to save time I could see, but he's taking an entire stream off and how much shit could they be buying? It's not like Phil can help lift the grocery bags in and out of the car so he's fucking useless in that regard, I guess he's there to make sure Kat doesn't get anything healthy because it's too expensive dood.

He thinks it counts as spending time together. When Leanna put her foot down and Phil started taking a day off to save their relationship that day was used to go grocery shopping too. He puts as much effort into relationships as he does streaming. Grocery shopping isn't an errand it's quality time together just like the Christmas stream will be special because he'll toss a string of lights over the back of the couch.

Phil does appear to have lost weight, but his body has completely atrophied. People were commenting on the saggy moobs and the shoulders, but if you match those with the noodle arms, the delicate shoulders, the paunchy belly, and the gray, patchy goatee... Phil has the body of a grandpa. Or, more disturbingly, a grandma (minus the facial hair). He has endured NO physical activity since moving to Washington and barely has to waddle beyond the house. Phil was probably healthiest between girlfriends because he had to do all physical activity around the house himself.

On the topic of Kat, I think the bullying story was entirely fake. I agree with everyone who is suggesting that she likely left to a Halloween party, and that the salty Phil opted to use that as a narrative to go after Tevin, which he requires. Tevin is a bigger issue than Fred ever was because of the success of Tevin's restreams, but Phil's history with Tevin is less black and white, as it were. He implied Tevin was banned for restreaming on Twitch, and I think he was suspended once, but Tev was permabanned for 'harassing' Sidella, as far as I know. Phil can't touch this story because Sidella is trouble. He is a mentally handicapped guy that Phil has exploited for money, and he instigated a conflict with several racist tirades that subsequently also got Sidella banned, something that Phil has made verboten to mention. If Tevin hurt Kat, however, that would put Phil in a sympathetic position to try to finish the job.

I think someone of note shoulder tapped Phil and warned him that his attempt to rally the troops was too obvious and he needed to drop it immediately, before his Twitch overlords came down on him. That's why the narrative has basically shifted back to Kat returning to streams and having left of her own volition.

Before then pausing there for a second, and zooming out from that point. When I first watched it, that gave me pause. Seemed suspiciously trolly.

Last night, it got really awkward toward the regular end time of the Forza stream when he threatened to stop the stream because nobody was 'interacting or talking about anything interesting'. The chat was still as active as earlier, but nobody had cheered with a question for a while. Phil also did not suggest a topic that he could talk about. Someone then cheered to ask his impression of the new Smash, and Phil commended the question, then repeated the same answer he had given to the same question an hour earlier.

So you need to cheer for his attention, but you also need to completely hold his hand through the conversation, asking a question if you would like him to respond to your comment instead of just reading it aloud, and you have to figure out what topics engage Phil, because it isn't his job to tell you what he would like to talk about. He keeps talking about interaction, but he is getting more and more awkward. And he has so little going on in his life that he can't talk about anything.

* For those not in the know, Khet made pork chops with cinnamon apples ( he says they were Granny Smith, but they may well have been canned spiced apple slices ) with corn and mashed potatoes. Any wonder why they have put on weight? You can't add a grain to a meal with a starch and not gain weight. I'm sure D$P thinks corn is a vegetable though and was so proud of how health his meal was.

Only way is to go through each log and search for the name, so I'm not gonna do that, but I checked the previous 3 days (Oct 31st - Nov 3rd, in total). Jezal showed up for 2 hours today (~1:45 - 3:45 EST). He was also present for ~1 hour of the Halloween stream. You can check out the "stalk" feature on overrustlelogs to see if it recorded jezal actually saying anything in chat since he left. I don't believe I ever picked up any cheers or tips from him, at least by name.

They are spending so much money on food, good lord. Assuming they bought everything from Schwan's, they spent $21 for the pork chops, $8 for the mashed potatoes (substituted for the $8 sweet potatoes) and $6 for the corn. Those together costs $35, which of course doesn't include the cost of the apples, onion and whatever else they needed, so add in a couple more bucks and they spent close to $40 for one meal; they might as well have gone out to a restaurant for that price. They could have spent less than half of that had they picked up everything from a regular grocery store.

Edit: Looked up the prices of pork chops (at 36 ounces, what's listed on Schwan's), a bag of potatoes, a can of sweet corn, apples and onions at my local grocery store, would have cost me $15-16 to get all that.

He just doesn't actually give a shit about anybody else, outside of their money becoming his money. It's the same reason he'll read a cheer talking about something and just add "Well, alright then." and move on. Or get asked a question and say something like "I don't really know." and trail off without any further answer. He doesn't have any significant life experiences aside from going to SF2 tourneys like 15 years ago, and now he just wants to hoard money, so he has no interest in extended interactions--only the bare minimum. Same reason he doesn't do any multiplayer stuff, even with fanboys, on the regular. That requires him to interact with people, and he doesn't want to expend that effort, in addition to his perpetual paranoia that he will be made fun of or not fully in control.

He has no favorite anything. It’s bad enough that he’s a piece of human feces, but he has the personality of a lump of coal... Edgy, gets heated easily, but mostly just makes you feel dirty after dealing with it.

He is literally becoming white LTG and a less morbidly obese (only slightly) WingsOfRedemption. Threatening to shut down a stream because he’s not getting money. He’s slowly going to end up getting banned, as I said, from his own fucking hubris. It’s only a matter of time before he spergs out on his fans and gets shut down for bullying.

i dont get how anyone can enjoy a dsp stream when its like that. like whats fun. the poking of eachother. literally all the streams are is him repeating the game, bitching about the game, and reading very vague dumbass cheers that arent funny at all.

to me, laughing is the best form of enjoyment. if youre not laughing youre not enjoying yourself as much as you could be. so some people might enjoy watching phil. but i know for a fact they aint laughing. cause hes naturally funny and he wont make fun of himself. the only 2 forms that can make people laugh

Back in February, when BSV was still getting neg-ratings, he gave this explanation of how people "enjoy a DSP stream":

There is a community around phil that is very friendly and supportive. And to them phil is more white noise It's not something they take super serious, being part of that community is what even made me follow phil as long as I did. The social aspect of hanging out with people is way more important to people then what DSP does. He is just the guy being a clown with his occasional funny comment playing a new game.

So am I right in assuming that they pay him to keep that community going? I can't lie, I find that really fucking sad.

I'm all for finding a community and maybe even donating to keep it going. But to pay someone who will verbally abuse viewers, who gives power to people who won't think twice about banning anyone for any perceived slight. It seems pointless to me. There are countless streamers on Twitch big and small. There's funnier streamers, more serious streamers, titty streamers, irl streamers, eating streamers, comedy, ASMR, and lots more besides.

Paying this fat fuck for his "community" at least now a days isn't worth it. You can dump hundreds/thousands in and get nothing at all. There are streamers out there who will treat you better, remember who you are, and at least pretend to care how you're doing. And there are mods out there who can take a fucking joke and not feel the need to type "get swagged on" after every ban.
