Abigail was stupidly top tier last year. He was a true braindead character that could just get in and 50/50 you for days. Capcom nerfed him pretty hard but he's still braindead and can easily destroy you if you make 2-3 mistakes especially when he has V-Trigger ready.

Different situation. Akuma in ST was a boss character that was made to be deliberately over powered. You can only play him with a code on the character select screen and he was banned from tournaments for good reason.
Now, O. Sagat is a character Phil sometimes uses. O. Sagat is the original version of Sagat that was in the first version of Street Fighter 2 and O. Sagat is considered "soft banned" meaning that he is sometimes banned from tournaments and if you use him you will be looked down upon.

Yeah, IIRC he said that if you picked Akuma at the arcade you would probably get punched in the face. I also remember him saying that he would do the punching lol.
SFV Akuma is really strong but not as broken as back then. He has tools for everything but he isn't easy to use. Phil's Akuma is the epitome of basic bitch.

He never went for setups with Akuma in Street Fighter 4 and 5. FYI: Akuma is a very setup-heavy character that once he scores a hard knockdown he can mix you up for days. Phil never does anything like that, he just hangs back once he scores a knockdown, chucks a fireball, and waits or maybe does Akuma's dive kick.

If I’m being honest, judging by his history and how he handles conflict on stream, this nigga ain’t punching anyone. He’s a fucking coward, he backed out of fighting Viscant, a small, withered little nerd looking guy who claimed to work out often. A little bit of :powerlevel:, but I’m a second degree black belt and had a few friends who got me into jiujitsu, and I still try to dissolve conflict before it gets to fighting. So I dunno, maybe Dave WOULD punch someone, but I genuinely don’t see it happening.
