Unpopular opinions about food

Kinda surprised at how many people dislike eggs here. I love 'em, they make up probably 90% of my diet, like this shit I cooked last night

I'm not very particular about what I eat, though. It's a bit of a running joke for me that when I'm asked if I eat thing 'x', I'll reply with something like "I eat everything that doesn't eat me first."

Only thing I really can't do is canned spinach. That shit ought to be sold in pharmacies as a stand-in for ipecac. Yuck.
 
Steak is best when it is medium rare. If it is well-done you can't enjoy the tenderness of the meat and the savory juices.
 
I despise plain foods. Worst of the bunch being pizza with no toppings, plain burgers, plain chips, and unflavored peanuts/pretzels.
I just can't do it. I typically cover anything that comes plain like that with either sriracha, spicy aioli, bacon salt, garlic salt, paprika, or bay seasoning.

Peanut butter makes me gag. Never liked it as a kid. I will eat it on apples now but that's it.

Echoing the raw tomatohate (unless it's in salsa or otherwise with something else, like caprese salad or cherry tomatoes cut very small). I thought it was from cheap grocery store tomatoes that were little more than tomato-flavored water, but even the ones I grew from the ground-up in my yard were too much.

Most of my beef is cooked rare or, at the most, medium rare. No exceptions. If I wanted boot leather I'd go to Thrift Town and buy a boot for a dollar.

I'm also half Chinese and really don't enjoy Chinese food. Part of it also comes from developing a life-threatening shellfish/mollusk/anything without fins allergy at 16. There's so much potential for cross-contamination and also shrimp powder on fucking everything.

yeah, actually all those apple hybrids are just combos of the same damn thing. different proportions of red, green, and yellow. honeycrisp is one i like, but red is my favorite for a reason. red will always be a classic.

Ugh, popcorn...I used to work at a movie theater, so the popcorn/butter smell stayed in my work uniform no matter how much I washed it. Between movie showings I calculated how many calories are in the popcorn, and a large (160 oz tub) is like 2000 calories, before the butter.
 
Nothing normal people don't go through already. Not a big fan of vegetables. But I can tolerate some.
 
Ketchup is the absolute worst condiment ever and it completely ruins tomatoes and if you put that shit on a hot dog or dip your french fries into it, you are no longer my friend.

I think that's because they ADD lime. Trust me, real cactus does taste a bit like green beans--if you ever get a chance to buy it (check a Mexican supermarket) you can tell me that it doesn't taste anything like lime naturally.

edit: RC cola isn't all that bad either
 
I despise breakfast food with heated passion. Except toast and hash browns.

Also I dip my potato chips in ketchup and my french fries in BBQ sauce. It's delicious. And I dip chicken fries in BBQ sauce too.
