I wonder how Chris would have reacted if he was a Care Bro, and discovering in the mid 80s that there were actually TWO different Care Bears cartoon shows with different art style, villain characters and many different voices.

Like, how would something like this have affected him? Literally, two different Care Bears productions at the same time.

If the new MLP really is gonna be for older kids, I can imagine it's gonna focus more on lore and action than feelgood friendship stuff. Chris'll succumb to it, but he won't get anything out of it. He has a grasp on MLP lore because it's simple and for kids but a teen-focused MLP would have more complex stories that he'll try to or pretend to understand but won't.

I can already picture the word salads he is going to tweet to VAs trying to understand the episodes. I think those alone will be worth the reboot.

During the 90's when there were two different Sonic the Hedgehog shows at the same time with different art styles, villain characters, and many different voices. He seemed to be okay with it.

Oh now I see, I think I understand now.
Chris really doesn't want this reboot to happen for the following reason:

1. It fucks with his autistic need for everything to remain the same.
2. It fucks with his delusions of alternate dimensions where cartoons are real. Now his cartoon friends are getting erased.
3. It proves to him that he can't see the future - he probably had a dream where this character becomes a whatever it is he wants her to be. Chris being Chris probably thought this was a premonition (notice how he keeps saying he's seen the future). And now if Hasbro don't do that, then it's not going to happen and his dream was wrong again.

Chris will watch the new episode, and be confused or maybe angry when it does not go along with his head canon. Next he will tweet or make a video making insane demands, then shit himself and do nothing before crashing into slumber. The only follow up we will see on social media is maybe him venting some lingering mild irritation, which will gradually disappear in the coming weeks as his brain further deteriorates into pudding.
