Ponies, like Sonic characters, were popular with autistics because they're deadshit simple designs that are easy to memorise and copy. I wonder if part of Chris's antipathy stems from the new designs being comparatively harder for him to draw. The closest he'd be able to get is a heroin-addicted Tyranid that fell into a vat of paint.
It's funny how Chris is trying to convince everyone that they can "mind-link" to the "sister dimension", he's almost desperate to find someone else to go along with it. But I bet the second someone does go along with it and say "ooh yeah, I mind linked with Magi-chan and he said..." Chris would probably throw a fit, claiming that only he is powerful enough to mind-link with Magi-chan, and acuse the other person of being a troll.
Jeez, Chris imagines that the characters go through some kind of painful metamorphosis or maybe die.
When he saw the new character designs he probably imagined his imaginary friends shouting in agony "ᴴᴱᴸᴾ ᵁˢ ᶜᴴᴿᴵˢᵀᴵᴺᴱ, ᵂᵉ ᴬᴿᵉ ᶦᴺ ᴾᴬᶦᴺ!!"
This means he imagines himself as a saviour or the Messiah of Equestria since he has "the strongest connection to the sister dimension".
This is hilarious, in his mind, Chris sees himself going up against the evil Hasbro, who have the infinity gauntlet and are about to make everything in equestria vanish with the click of their fingers.
But wait, isn't this how Wise and Boyd tricked him for so long?

Chris will never come to accept the reality of the corporate world that controls his favourite IPs: Companies need to keep making more money. They can't make any more off MLP gen4, so they are aiming for those sweet Brony dollars directly with a new Gen5 that isn't even geared to kids anymore. That means rebooting the franchise into a more 'adult' direction, as much as making that statement makes me gag. It ain't gonna stop, so Chris is going to get more and more desperate as the launch comes closer.
Therefore Blarms II: Electric Boogaloo is almost certain to happen, but with a couple of exceptions: #1 Chris fully believes in this 'Sister Dimension/CPU goddess' bullshit now, and will be fiercely resistant to changes he feels will hurt his existing alternate reality, and #2 Chris fully believes he is a 'true Internet celebrity' now, and will feel he has far more power then he did in the 'blarms' era where his online protests went nowhere and he had to 'protest in his own silent way' by hiding product in stores and defacing displays. Now he's going to get hardcore and use his 'influence' to get his message felt.
This means embarassing rants at public appearances in full Ponycorn fig, and probably disruptive action at the next con he goes to if there is anything pro G5 featured. I think the Hirtes crew might get their long desired con-ban for Chris if he actually does attack a proG5 display or tries to organize a strike or anti G5 protest.
Shit won't be boring in CWCville, that's for sure.
I don't really mind him talking about "sister dimensions" because I think that's actually funny, but holy shit, he needs to stop with this "Earth 1218" shit.
He responded to a Tweet from a professional comic book writer that had nothing to do with anything, and the writer responded with a fact from the canon of their own franchise. All while said writer was attending San Diego Comic Con and far too busy to be able to look into seeing who this person was.

I don't think this will rise to the level of the Blarms Saga. Chris seems to be on good meds nowadays which keep his anger in control. He's not simultaneously going through a nasty breakup with a sweetheart. Despite the authoritarianism in this video I don't see any tardrage. There are definite parallels but Chris is mellower now.

I agree, it doesn't seem likely that he'll go to the mattresses again over this, BUT one thing I've learned is that there's no dumb mistake that Chris can't make twice. I mean, I thought for sure the big dummy was done getting trespassing charges, but nope, he's still got it in him.

If the new MLP really is gonna be for older kids, I can imagine it's gonna focus more on lore and action than feelgood friendship stuff. Chris'll succumb to it, but he won't get anything out of it. He has a grasp on MLP lore because it's simple and for kids but a teen-focused MLP would have more complex stories that he'll try to or pretend to understand but won't.
