I don't really get it, why do you hate DSP? I've watched most of the "This is how you don't play" and Snort Burnells videos. I mean he is a moron, and really bad at playing vidya, but except for that I wouldn't say he is funny or anything.
More like a "head-shaking-imbecility", mixed with greed and literally no common sense

EDIT: Disregard that, I never watched the ending of his MGS3 playthrough until now. What a fucking asshat. He can't even shut up during this amazing and beautiful ending. What a exceptional manchild.

This is my biggest problem with daves actual gameplay. We can list all day how shitty of a person he is, but it drives me up the wall when he refuses to shut up during any cutscenes.

Who is entertained by that? Guy can’t muster a single sentence during gameplay but just won’t shut up during cutscenes. Why would someone stick around to watch him play a game they can’t absorb, most new viewers show up because of a game you’re playing, and then stay because the streamer is a nice compliment.

And one short comment here and there is fine, but he just rambles on with horrible jokes and tries to rewrite the lore mid cutscene, at that point just skip the shit

Twitch really doesn’t have its priorities straight. Really showing that if you’re a Twitch Partner that(for the most part) you’re protected even if you break the ToS & bits use policy.

It's not fair use because fair use is a defense against punishment when copyright infringement has occurred. It's not DSP's copyrighted material so there is no infringement. It's not even an image of DSP. It's a generic puppet that someone happened to use to mime him in a video. The situation is pretty cognitively impaired. It's an emote being removed because someone was able to convince Twitch it was a reference to DSP and a strong enough reference that it was harassment.

So what exactly does dave think he’s going to gain from whatever this amazon miracle streaming service is? does he think his content will stand out and shine above everyone else uploading there? Does he think amazon will pay for his garbage? Does he think he’s small fanbase will matter at all on that site?

I just don’t understand his logic and praise for a future service like it’s some miracle cure.

Its just like how Phil thinks every new AAA game release is going to save the business. He might be hoping that with a new service there will be far fewer content creators so his little drop of piss channel won't get lost in the ocean like it has with YouTube. What I'm sure he doesn't understand is that I believe Amazon is really curating the content they allow on the platform. Like avgn was asked to put stuff on Amazon. They want well established, LIKABLE personalities that make quality, high effort, episodic content. Not anything even in the same universe as Phil, who is utterly unlikable, farts out zero effort RAW kahntent, and shits on anyone who is forced to do business with him.

He constantly harps on about how much he loves video games and he doesn't do this for the money, yet I can't remember a single time he's shown any sort of reverance or actual interest in a game's story. On a related note, PDP and several other creators he constantly takes shots at have shown appreciation for gaming narratives multiple times (even to the point of getting emotional on a few occassions) but "SNORT I'M ABOVE KID YOUTUBERS AS A MATURE ADULT WITH AN ATTENTION SPAN ACK ACK ACK LOOK AT THIS WOW *checks phone*".

Once Papa Burnell got dismissed due to a planned downsizing, Phil quickly got hatcheted due to lacking that aegis.

Down the Rabbit Hole didn't go into detail, just that he was laid off but not by whom or why. The only real "source" I can think of is Larry Bundy Jr mentioning it in a YT comment.

You mean his Best Buy shitcanning? It was in one of his fuckzillion Ask the Pig videos. I just know that he got fired for abusing his employee discount to get cheap PS2s for a tournament due to this being when he was autistically obsessed with playing in them; the company probably thought he was going to sell them on the street and pocket the difference given this is Phil we're talking about.

I did find the Pigroach reeeing about it on an old forum we dug up a while ago:

They provided no proof of any wrongdoing at all, just said that the corporate office decided to terminate me on grounds of violating the employee purchase policy. I even have it in writing, but there’s no evidence whatsoever. Now I have to 1. look for a new job and 2. pray that unemployment doesn’t say I’m ineligible because I was terminated.

As amazing as this sounds, it’s actually pretty much true for any multi-million dollar company: any person at any time is expendible.

So yeah, the next few days I’ll be applying around for jobs…

- Phil got let go from Circuit City, apparently got a job at Best Buy afterward, and then got terminated for attempting to use his employee discount on equipment for a tournament he was hosting, leaving him to reap unemployment benefits.

His inordinate desire to repeat himself is just the oddest thing. It's like a mixture of narcissism (in that he loves talking about himself and his past achievements, no matter how minor), low-key begging (muh 10 year legacy guys, pls give me money to carry it on), and his overall inability to let go of the past.

Phil is indeed a bizarre individual.
