My two cents about Becky-
She's clearly not a genius, but I don't think she's necessarily slow. She's probably on the the lower end of
normal, which is still normal.
She has the shit luck of being from an area of the country notorious for poor education and horrible speech patterns so even a relatively intelligent person could come of as dimwitted.
But the fact she's with AL and quit her job definitely an indicator of shortcomings, possibly more emotional and maturity-wise than intellectually.

I'm not neuropsychologist or a licensed clinitian, but I have given and scored certain cognitive tests to a certain clinical population. You might talk to someone who seems to have serous processing deficits but they actually test in the normal range. Just depends on what kind of cognitive ability you're looking at. Becky could be a sped in the streets, but normie in the sheets on paper.
