Sorry it's off topic but now I understand where those asks we got came from, but no we did not disbanded I don't know what you're talking about.
About the "amateurish" 2D Art @MelancholyArtist it's your own opinion and that' perfectly fine though do not worry they're not overwhelmed with work, we had almost every character design before the new 2d artist joined us and for the moment she's more than enough, we'll recruit another one when we'll need it. (regarding the artstyle it's each to their own but we don't really put that much emphasize on how good the art will look they're mainly here for references)
By the way we have a thread in the game section if you ever want to talk about us again it'll be a better fit than this thread
Sorry for the offtopic again
edit: oops my bad vertex replied right before me
Ah hello!
May I ask, are they going to be the lead artist or are they going to handle most of the art that will be replaced later? What do you mean by "only here for references"?
Yes it is my opinion whether or not I deem the art they've done as mediocre or well-received -- but I am of the audience of people who would be interested in playing your game.
Looking at this from a marketing prospective, if you are dismissing comments from people telling you something is no good, then inevitably your project will fail. Yes you shouldn't listen to absolutely EVERYONE (Like Alex) but if a majority of people say one thing is bad unanimously -- then it's bad. And also about the strain on the artist, do you want to know why they aren't feeling the workload? It is because they aren't at a professional level. They don't take much time with the art they're producing -- in the planning stages the art is definitely the most important part of development. Every game starts with an idea, then immediately goes to concept design (the 2D art) where they sketch out character design and establish the art style. THEN it goes to modeling, which uses the character design art style as a base. You're looking at this from quantity over quality and sadly, that's what Alex does right. He looks at quality over quantity from his volunteers and makes sure that they are up to his (albeit rather crude) standards.
Again, I want to reiterate, I'm not trying to sound snobby and tell you to quit while you're ahead. That is not my intention. I am a yandere concept fan that wants to play the game YanDev promised years ago (I've been following it since 2014) and I want to help make that a reality. The reason the yansim clones are dying is because everyone wants to be the first to spite Alex. You're basically doing the same thing he's doing just a subset of it. No one really wants to make a good Yansim just because they loved the concept like I do.

...the best reaction i can give about Eva's new blog post with that black-and-white GIF ,where Ayano (poorly animated) beats the crap out of someone who has a freaking baseball bat in their hands...kinda like a metaphore about us Kiwis and the game's fanbase. I let you decide which one is who.
