"The new policies are: Inmates may now ask for a gender-specific deputy to do a visual body search - the first such jail to allow this in the nation; and they can express a preference where they would like to be housed so that their safety while showering and overall privacy can be better assured, Sheriff Vicki Hennessy said. In addition, effective immediately, inmates now can fill out a "statement of preference" form identifying their gender and how they want to be addressed in jail."


This is a very public test of the argument that no one would falsely claim to be trans.

Basically, they are going to wait until a "ciswoman" gets killed before anything really gets done. Right now they are claiming that women who complain are just transphobic. But a ton of trannies are in jail in the first place for assaulting and sexually assaulting women. It's only a matter of time.

If I'm reading this right they can declare their gender and where they "prefer" to be housed. But I don't see anything in there about being guaranteed a transfer to a women's prison. Surely even California isn't just going to let Bubba declare that he's actually Bubbette and go on a rampage in the women's prison.

How has this relativist insanity been allowed to spread so pervasively? Its like everyone is going insane collectively. The Left wings victory in the culture wars was so total they have literally gotten high on their own ideology. People need to stop being afraid to say publicly that these people are insane. The fear of being called a bigot needs to be overcome by the moral courage to actually challenge these people when they open their mouths. This isn't prison, it's the county jail. Nobody is shanking anybody there. Maybe roughing each other up a bit but nobody wants a murder rap for some beef they had in county. If they have a problem they will settle it on the street later.

This factor will probably keep out most of the really egregious cases of trooning because they don't want to get clobbered by their cellmate's boyfriend after they are released. Respect is an important thing for prisoners, even in county. If they do go to the women's facility they had better be on their best behavior or they will get fucked up by someone later.

Vote needs street justice option.
