Kingdom Come: White Ethnostate - When trying to get a dev fired fails, because he owns the studio.

Also, as this buffoon states, it's not even a random knight from 16th century Europe, it's a depiction of Saint Maurice, who was in service with the roman army in the 3rd century, ie: A fucking maritime superpower of the mediterranean sea over a thousand years prior. He has absolutely nothing to do with knightly orders, he was described as a soldier, so they drew him in what was "state of the art" armor back then. They did the same with the roman soldiers that stood guard at Jesus' tomb, so the depiction in and of itself is a huge anachronism and tells us nothing about the commonness of black people in Medieval Europe.

Also, let's not forget than Saint Maurice served in the Theban Legion. Stationed in Thebes. In Egypt.
On the scale between "truly European" to "not European", he scores "he's 100% from Africa, dammit!"

Apparently, he died in modern-day Switzerland, but he was part of a huge superpower that spanned all across Europe and down to Africa and was forced to serve Rome's interests in Europe... so it's completely idiotic to use him as an example - especially when it comes to the Situation in eastern Europe over 1100 years later. Europe was a lot more fragmented back then, had a bit of contact with traders and scholars from Africa and Arabia, but that certainly doesn't mean there have been significant numbers of black people on the other side of the alps.

I would play the shit out of a similar game set in the Zulu nation during the age of imperialism...

id play the shit out of a similar game set in Mughal India,

Hell I'd even play a similar game set in the Kongo (even better if they went for pure accuracy)

The problem is, what sources can you trust about these now? The Kang-makers have filled up the history books with the equivalent of wanky fanfictions.

Since the game is set in Bohemia during the Holy Roman Empire, doesn't the exclusion of POCs make sense for historical accuracy? Or am I missing something?
But you see, the lack of evidence of the presence of blacks doesn't mean they didn't necessarily exist. You can't prove the absence of something, ergo, god is black and you're a nazi. QED.

The title should be “No KANGZ in Kingdom Come salt,” i expected better of you.
The sequel should be called Kang dun come 2 Bohemia.

According to Steam, it's the topseller and has roughly 2300 reviews, 75% of which are positive... Prepare yourselves for maximum butthurt, the whiners will crank up their salt production tenfold when it turns out this game is a huge economical success.
There'll be endless articles about how racist gamers are and how a game like this proves that YT gamers are all secret members of the KKK.

The sequel should be called Kang dun come 2 Bohemia.
Dude, someone should make a Mod that puts everyone in blackface, replaces all weapons with crude clubs and all clothes with bast skirts or lion pelts.

Since I'm a huge history nerd, I would be totally in favor of historically accurate games becoming a thing, even if they are in a part of the world and an era that doesn't interest me that much, it's still a nice idea.
I read "Water Music" by Boyle a short while ago and I think an open world exploration game where your goal is to find the Niger could be absolutely amazing.

And I genuinely think an RPG set in Africa could be quite fun... hell a phantasy game set in a world inspired by african folklore could blow some fresh air into the genre and it wouldn't surprise me one little bit if those that are enjoying KCD now would at least be intrigued by a game set in -say- the Zulu Wars.

But as has mentioned, anything less than a depiction of carebears-tier harmony and buddha-like enlightenment amongst the blacks in such a game would lead to massive amounts of salt.
YT will have to be the devil incarnate while the poor PoCs need to be absolutely peaceful, smart and awesome. Just hint at the idea that one tribe might be at war with the other and you're in for endless waves of whining by the usual suspects... And if it's not a guy like Vavra behind the project, it'll pander to the worst "we wuz kangs" and BLM blokes the western hemisphere has to offer.

Imagine a sequel set during the Crusades.

By the way... I am wondering if Giant bomb will quick look this game, or are they too connected to the SJWs.

They'd have to include black people for historical accuracies sake. The Arabs and Persians kept hundreds of thousands of sub saharan african slaves.

The largest black slave revolt in history happened in Iran.

That too but also a game in the same fashion of Kingdom Come Deliverance where you get to play as this guy.

You get battlefield one, with a black over representation and automatic weapons.
they didnt present it as hystorically accurate, but it was still dumb.

Today I got someone saying that 'historical accuracy' is a dogwhistle, and that because there are a variety of accents used in the game (allegedly - he'd only seen the trailer) that might not be region-appropriate, it meant picking and choosing when to be historically accurate which equals racist.

Pointing out the problems having the game voiced entirely in 15th century Bohemian dialect didn't have any impact.

You aren't. The closest thing to what you Anglos would call "POC" in early 15th century central Europe were the Cumans who were Asiatic Turks that at the time were increasingly assimilated by the Hungarians. They even speak Hungarian from what little I've seen of the game. While you didn't have a racial diversity like in LA or BBC "historical" documentaries, you had a very rich cultural diversity though which was one of the many reasons the Holy Roman Empire was such an unbelievable clusterfuck.

I remember back in GamerGate days when this topic originally showed up, Vavra did bring up how he discussed this issue with multiple local historians and they said there weren't any black people like middle class American bloggers would assume. Funny how people outraged about representation have forgotten it. And not just forgotten, they're still using the same arguments - "look at this illustration from late Renaissance era, it proves PoC were a thing in dark ages Europe" and "they had moors in Spain so obviously Europe had minorities".

SJWs not only think that the entire world is America, but that all of Europe is a single country, and on top of that, every single event in thousands of years of history occurred simultaneously.

Don't expect anything resembling coherence from these bafflingly stupid and ignorant cretins.

He didn't give a fuck then, but now that the SJWs have trotted out their last desperate resort, the "REEEE REEEE literal NAZI" shriek, he isn't even pretending to be polite about not giving a fuck.

There is already one

I expect this game to be waking call for others developers, you dont have to comply with SJW standards, make your game like you want and fuck those morons

If some game dev announces a game that takes place in 1970s Harlem and has a cast of characters that is 99.9% black, I’m going to make a fake social media account as an Indian man and constantly demand more Pajeet representation in the game.

I’m sure at least a few games media outlets will pick up my struggle.

Well duh, who’d be selling cigarettes and condoms at convenience stores

Don't hold your breath. They pulled a Quicklook (it was scheduled, Dan said he was working on it, but it didn't go up at the scheduled time) on A Hat in Time. Sometimes things don't work out due to technical issues, sure, but they also didn't do any coverage for it – not even a review – and only brought it up on the GOTY podcasts to say that "the devs are gross people". So it seems like they pulled coverage intentionally.

Funnily enough their morality didn't stand in the way of making videos back in 2015 playing Hatred, a controversial mass-murder simulator whose devs are "anti-PC", or Code Name: Steam, which has gamergater Adam Baldwin as the lead voice actor. But I guess that was then and this is now.

As you can tell, the press refusing coverage is having a huuuge impact on sales. See, the problem with boycotts by the press is that it tends to dissipate the superstitious traditional beliefs in the importance of review scores and coverage – publishers wipe their eyes and realise that the press aren't really preternaturally powerful influencers and they'll be fine without appealing to them or worrying about offending them. The press wielded an impressive display of power like a bunch of guns loaded with blanks. But they started to actually believe in their own threatening posturing and tried to actually fire the guns. Now everybody knows they're only packing blanks and the jig is up.

It isn't a good look when your entire shit industry of callout culture goes all-in on trying to destroy some Czech for doing nothing but representing his own homeland accurately, and actual academia in that homeland completely agrees with him, and then you turn over your cards and you have the deuce-seven of absolute failure while the guy you attacked has the AA of #1 spot on Steam.

Also I just opened Steam just to see what I'd see and I didn't even have to try for this, it was just there.

Gay Ben is really intimidated by all this shrieking and REEEEEEEing.
