For anyone who didn't watch it, her main issue with the movie from an SJ perspective is that it portrays racism as mainly the result of animosity based on history rather than a vehicle to uphold power structures that benefit the majority. She's right that people wanting to maintain a set place in social hierarchy has always been a large part of racism in many parts of the world, but you'd have to be an absolute moron to not be aware that cultural conflict is often deeply rooted in history and that people do often hold anger towards entire countries or groups of people based on perceived past wrongs. It takes a special kind of person to constantly interpret complex and nuanced issues in the most one dimensional way possible and still have the nerve to act as if their one of the select few that really understand them unlike all those simple-minded bigots.

rinking is great, and I recommend it. But stick to high proof whiskies drunk neat or on the rocks, or relatively simple cocktails like a real (ie gin and vermouth) Martini, Manhattan, or gin and (diet) tonic. Also maybe don't order fucking nachos with your drink.
