I've made perfectly good whole wheat buttermilk pancakes from scratch. I mean, pancake batter is really simple, whole wheat or not. I think if you're using premade pancake mix, you're doing it wrong.Worst thing I ever made was pancakes from "Coyote Brand" pancake mix. That shit's hWHOLE hWHEAT! YUCK. "Howling success" MY ASS. Seriously don't ever buy that shit unless you're all about the hWhole hWheat.
How do you confuse cinnamon and cayenne? Every example of those I've seen comes in clear plastic or glass containers and even if they didn't you should notice the difference as soon as it comes out of the container. Cinnamon is brown, cayenne is red or sort of dull orange. Do you and your dad have some form of color blindness? My dad once tried to add a tasty dusting of cayanne to his macaroni and cheese only to realize far too late that our cayanne jar and cinnamon jar look exactly the same. Now I always check to make sure I'm not dusting cayanne on my cereal
Speaking of my pop, he once tried to make a turkey sandwich to bring to work only to find we had no turkey. That's ok, he'll just make a peanut butter and honey sandwich. Well unfortunatly we were out of bread. But we had tortillas! Peanut butter and honey tortilla roll-up us fine. Except we were out of honey too. We DID have some old molasses though. So dad ended up with a peanut butter and molasses tortilla roll for his lunch. He went on to father me, who at some point thought that jello and marshmellows were acceptable peanut butter sandwich ingredients.
I would agree. But this was back when I was a kid and NOT the one doing the shopping. I was perfectly capable of making scratch pancakes that were really good. I just happen to despise whole wheat and am very fussy about it (there are some exceptions I will tolerate but they have to be VERY fresh and not whatever it is about them that makes me think they taste gross).I've made perfectly good whole wheat buttermilk pancakes from scratch. Both of the jars have a black label that obscures most of the contents of the bottle, also the problem was that he noticed the difference basically the nanosecond the container was being poured over the mac.How do you confuse cinnamon and cayenne? My mother is a retired Home ec. teacher, she has so many stories like this. Like the time they made brownies and one group put one cup of baking soda and not one tea spoon. She was wondering where all the baking soda went when they came running up to her with what she described as molten bubbly brownies. Apparently they had only skimmed the recipe and added all measurements as cups, because they're retarded (her words). This was in High School BTW.Not made by me, but I remember in my Life Skills class in middle school, when we made brownies, one group accidentally switched the sugar and salt. Resulting in a something that looked really good, but tasted bitter and saltier than the every Salt thread on this website. They were so bad, our teacher made everyone try them, to humiliate the group that made them.
