yeah screw playing as mario in NYC DOOD! fuck mario. Phil has lost his damn mind.

I like how he kills his own argument in the same thread. He knows deep down people will care about the Mario game longer than AssCreed, but he'll avoid and insult Nintendo games out of pure spite. Phil is the incarnation of 'Mature Games for Mature Gamers' when in comes to Nintendo stuff.

IIRC he once claimed in a prestream (unfortunately don't know which, was some time ago) that his income was split about evenly between YT/Twitch. As an afterthought, he squeezed in 10% for Patreon.

I remember that, it wasn't so long ago.
It also means that this fucker makes 10k$+ a month (since his patreon is always at 1K+) and, despite this, still finds new ways to cry out poor every time and beg for more money.

We know the split isn't close to 50/50- he makes $4k/month on Twitch compared to about $1k/month on YT (corroborated by SocialBlade). Remember, Phil lies, and not always for a clear reason.

Why would he lie about making more money than he actually does, though ? That doesn't make sense for him.
I think if he would lie, it would be about the opposite : Being richer than what he claims to be, so he can squeeze more money from his paypigs.

Pretty sure before the the decline Soapqueen and Eddy reported revenue of about $7k, and the was when Twitch and Youtube were 'equal'. He probably made $10k before Machinima switched him to ad-based pay.

Phil's lies change depending on the direction the wind is blowing. That said, I thibk you can safely assume that his "Patreon is 10%" figure is something he pulled from his ass because he just that second remembered that Patreon existed. I think twitch and YouTube being 50/50 is probably pretty accurate though, and between @EddyB43 And @SoapQueen1 We can get a pretty good idea of what he makes on twitch. So double that and then add in Patreon.

Yeah, when it was view based he was making 10k a month for sure. Now he makes around 6 - 7k a month. Depending on if he hits the patreon goal which is usually.

He only discusses Twitch earnings in vague detail and whines constantly about how YT ad revenue is too low or how YT is out to get him or whatever-he's the one who gave the $1k/month figure for YT earnings. If my only reference were Phil's own videos, I'd assume he meant that Twitch & YT are both pretty meager revenue sources. It doesn't explain his claim about Paymetons being just 10% though, that is really fucking suspicious.

@SoapQueen1 and @EddyB43 any insight on this?

Probably the biggest reason for him to deliberately misstate how much YouTube earns him is that it keeps his actual earnings extremely vague and impossible for anyone to find out.

He got real mad recently when whoever it was posted the calculations of his Patreon/Twitch on his forums and deleted the post while calling it wrong.

Just for fun, I tried to check on a calculator to see where someone would end up if they take in 10k a month.

Remember, he still has trouble with bills. He's the 'common man'. He might lose his house(s)!

God he gets caught by a lot of throws. Also, really surreal to see him vs the the guy that won the Street Fighter EVO this year.
That's just Vega in this game. He complains about randomness in SFV/MvCI, but that exactly how he played Vega in SF2. Someone does a wall dive, should you block left or right? Oh wait, that was an airthrow, doesn't matter if I block or not.

I don't believe that his YouTube ad revenue with his tiny viewcount has been more than $3K a month for years. Hes repeatedly talked about what kind of money a thousand views can earn giving numbers like $2 while others give numbers closer to half that. Optimistically I'd peg him at $4400 in a good month, realistically I'd peg him at $2200.

He's been getting ballpark $3-4K a month on Twitch since he started in late November. His claims that Twitch and YouTube were about 50/50 probably typical DSP on-the-fly guess-becomes-fact.

If I had to guess I'd say he's been at 50% Twitch, 30% YouTube, 10% Patreon, and 10% Everything Else™ since RIP Machinima. (In other words almost entirely living off free money from a few hundred people.)

Have you factored in the transaction fees that Twitch/Patreon apply?
I've read reports that Twitch tips incur a 30% fee (as they're not normal PayPal transactions).

Once you apply fees (if that hasn't already been done) a large amount could be taken from some of the sources. If Phil is exceptional and withdraws to PayPal then he probably incurs even more fees. I'm sure Phil would want to avoid withdrawing to his bank sometimes because they'd take all his money to pay his debts.

The other day he ranted about illegal immigration and today it is health care. Is he looking to get his channel flagged for political stuff? Maybe he thinks if he gets blacklisted he would become some kind of martyr and get huge press and everyone will come to his Twitch streams and give him money, but the truth is nobody will give a shit.

He has said some insane shit about Youtube that would have caught attention if someone relevent said it, but Phil is just a crazy old guy ranting on his couch. Eating his girlfriends sandwhich at the hospital got more press then any of his crazy Youtube claims.

Why can't you do this more often, Vidar? Just.........be consistently reasonable instead of having insane rants. But I guess I'm asking too much of a pedo. :(
