It took me about 37 hours to get all trophies except items and bestiary (got about 80-90% of those) and Gambler's Death (don't think I even tried to do that RNG mess until my second time through). With how much exploration some of the other trophies took I'd guesstimate the time for me to platinum the game in one run would be ~40 hours. So I recently went through the FF6 Pixel Remaster myself and it took me just over 20 hours to 100% it. How long do we think it'll take DSP to just beat it normally?
So Phil would probably take ~100-125 hours, maybe 150 or even 200 if he's trying to draw things out. Since he will back burner the game as donations slow down this will spill into 2027 if he doesn't wagequit sooner.
Then there are the glitches: I have seen posts complaining that the 100% item trophies do not pop even after multiple runs. I haven't seen it myself in FFVI but I have seen it in the FFV pixel remaster (definitely same devs and almost certainly same/very similar engine) so it could definitely hit Phil as well. My second run to get 100% items took about 20 hours even with boosted XP/ABP and skipping everything I did not need for those trophies, so Phil would need 40-50 hours in a second run to get a missed/glitched trophy for a total of 140-plus hours.
ETA: In addition to the glitch there are at least three (bestiary + exploration + magicite) missable trophies; the magicite one is hard to miss but DSP is inept enough to pull it off. We could ve in for a bumpy ride if he tries to 100% the game. Then there are things like 100% lore (the game's term for Blue Magic) collection that are part of 'completion' despite not having a trophy attached.
