Moral Orel S03E02 "Grounded"

(First episode in this vid... specifically at 5:20 or u can watch the whole ep)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=zMukBR3hKxc
[ETA: fun time to say that Sandy Cheeks of SpongeBob is Orel's VA in Moral Orel.]
Moral Orel is one of those shows that feels like such a fucking fever dream. It had its moments though.

Orel: Coach Stopframe, you like my dad the way my mom likes my dad, don't you?
(long beat)
Daniel: Your mom likes your dad?

Most we got was the cameo by the cannibal mother from S1 and she's already lesbians with the teacher she screwed over.
Which...makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Realistically those two women would've been trying to murder each other.

I guess the chance to do another "OOH look THEY'RE GAY!" was too much to pass up regardless of how little sense it made.

Honestly, it could have worked as a sort off running joke that eventually went romantic route. Like: "Well, we cannot kill each other and doing this shit ain't getting us anywhere, plus we're kinda stuck here and I'm pretty sure my kids are either in Heaven/my husband took the kids. So, I dunno you wanna like try a fresh start", but: A. For this to work you need to have a passage of time going on through the series; B. You need to get the IMP's involved like again maybe as a running gag the country chick or the teacher are seen leaving the office or sending them voice messages with order's of how to try to kill the bitch.

Even TV Tropes is having trouble finding an explanation for this one.

Honestly it's criminal DHORKS ended up as nothing more than gag material. It would've been more interesting to portray them as glowniggers trying to use and/or weaponize Hell to their advantage (for example resurrecting Kissinger or stealing angelic weapons and demonic superweapons)

Do we even know what DHORKS and CHERUB stand for? Or is it just a case where they came up with an acronym and never bothered to think of what it meant?

Its says something when TVTropes throw their hands up and go "Look, we dont have a single fucking clue why these two are leasbians now!"
Maybe hell makes you gay or straight depending on how you started?
Would explain the stats being reversed. Your welcome writers ive bailed you out again with 3s of thought.

The most frequent guess I seen for DHORKS is Demon Hunting Organization Ready to Kill Satan. There hasn't been a common acronym for CHERUB though. Seeing how they're working together now we may or may not get the answer for both at the same time.
HH/HB are too pussy to have a song this good.

I unironically like Poison though.

I do enjoy majority of Hellaverse's songs actually. From a writing/musical standpoint, most of them suffer the issues of being superfluous as they either tell us information we already knew, whatever plot point that they've initiated doesn't go anywhere, or the character arc the song in question is suppose to conclude wasn't earned. Even though I prefer Hazbin Season 2's songs more than Season 1's, I feel like the things I listed are more prevalent in Season 2.

Could of just ripped of Jesus christ superstar to see how to do it correctly

Crossposting from the VivziePop thread because I think the discussion might be more pertinent here.

So awhile back there was a Youtube video discussing Helluva Boss where the host went over a writing exercise by Yahtzee to define characters, and his results with the Helluva Boss cast showed that they were overall pretty shallow. I decided to give this same exercise a try with the Hazbin Hotel cast, and here's what I got:
1. "What does this character want?"
Charlie - Wants to help people, wants her Dad to be proud of her
Vaggie - Wants Charlie to succeed in her endeavors
Angel Dust - Wants to enjoy himself and be happy?
Alastor - Wants to be the most powerful overlord and out from under Rosie's soul contract (goal achieved at the end of S2)
Husk - Wants to protect Angel Dust?
Nifty - Wants to clean up?

2. "What are their strengths?"
Charlie - Kind towards others, fighting (at the end of S1 at least), being Lucifer's daughter
Vaggie - Fighting/being tough
Angel Dust - Porn stardom talent, fighting with guns
Alastor - Overlord powers/fighting
Husk - Gambling? Fighting/overlord powers
Nifty - Cleaning, psychotic fighting

3. "What are their weaknesses?"
Charlie - Naive and foolish, very weak willed
Vaggie - Anger issues, difficult to work with
Angel Dust - Overly/Inappropriately sexual with others, drug addiction, stuck in an abusive relationship and soul bondage with Valentino
Alastor - Arrogant? Rivalry with Vox (more or less resolved at the end of S2)
Husk - Alcoholism, grumpy and difficult to work with
Nifty - Very chaotic and unpredictable, hard to control

4. "What are their quirks?"
Charlie - Happy and perky, very Disney Princess like, constantly breaks out into song
Vaggie - Tough? Always carries a spear?
Angel Dust - Overly sexual with everyone, constantly making sex jokes
Alastor - Old timey radio man persona
Husk - Grumpy?
Nifty - Crazy chaotic gremlin personality

As you can see, there appears to be quite a bit of overlap with and similar results to what Lo F Fort found in his exercise with the Helluva Boss cast. Further, a lot of these are more or less things I inferred rather than what was stated outright in the show, so for all I know some of these attributes may not even be what the creator intended (especially those things listed under weaknesses).

What are your thoughts? Anything I missed?

Lute's VA is really hyping up her role in S4. I'm guessing she'll be the main antagonist until Roo takes over as the final big bad in S5.

Perhaps this is just me but, I don't get the idea of making a song about a character that will take several seasons and years just to make a pay off?

Anyways here is what I would imagine if Lute was involved in S2, she fights Niffty to avenge the first man.
