mrw the professor randomly assigns games for the “get a platinum” term assignment and the guy next to me gets “My name is Mayo” while I get “Crypt of the Necrodancer”

The camera falls through the floor when simply moving it around. I saw the badass dino animations on twitter and really wanted to like it. Too bad.
I've seen several games like this and it's funny because the "one-hit wonder" angle works for so many other games, but games that are nonetheless clones of others, ie. friend slop.

Or that one game where a dude iframe parries a nuke and the explosion splits in two. Once that drops you know damn well it'd be as one-note as dinoblade.

Feeling extremely frustrated with Dying Light. I like what's trying to do but actually playing the game feels like I'm constantly fighting against the controls than I am the zombos. Every time I die it's because I'm locked into some stupid unskippable animation of the grapple because I can't space out the infinity virals who are chasing me, my dropkick missed, my tackle missed, my jumping execution attack missed, I got stuck on terrain, my jump off zombie heads move didn't work, I stopped sprinting for some reason or I'm crouching for some reason.
Like I remember Mirror's Edge feeling weighty but extremely responsive, this barely compares and while I want to finish the game it really feels like I'm forcing myself to do so and I'm barely in the 10% of story completion because I've been dicking around doing sidequests.

I hate Dying Light so much. Not just because it's an ass game, that's not really noteworthy, but because zombiegams have such generic fucking titles that whenever they announce something my brain perks up for a sec and goes "oh shit, Days Gone was pretty sweet" and then I remember that was a different one. Every time.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Musée d’Orsay today. Gonna be honest this might be the most autistic shit ever but I got so pissed off when I saw the bottom floor of the museum covered in a bunch of screenshots from Expedition 33.

That stupid fucking game does not deserve to be in the presence of my favorite Pierre Bonnard cat paintings. Now I fully get what a fucking industry plant this stupid fucking game is.

When they called this game an """indie game""" that's when I first realized. To be fair to the French, having E33 blow up like it has is probably the greatest achievement the French have had in decades, if not a century or two (coming from someone who thinks that game is ok at best) I don't blame them for wanting to plaster that shit everywhere since it might be the only noteworthy accomplishment the French will have for years.

I think Expedition 33 is a fine game but the combat system minus the dodge mechanic is very similar to Shadow Hearts and the plot is strikingly similar to Final Fantasy X with the plot "twist" being nearly identical to that game.

It's good but not nearly as original or creative as people think it is, it is heavily derivative of older JRPGs.

French made JRPG with the gameplay of Mario RPG and art station slop sweeps the world by storm somehow, I guess people desperately WANTED JRPG slop and the only thing holding them back was how absolutely gay Anime is.

The fact that coop focused games seem to be dying unless you want spyware or a bunch of other modern cancer is so saddening, payday 3 is shit, KF3 is shit, what's even left?

I’ve seen way more swastikas and niggers being lynched (just like the good ol’ days) so I’d like to think that the tide is in our favor.

New, good coop games? None. Streamer/friendslop? Plenty, My advice, just play ol’ reliable left 4 dead.

Helldivers II and Darktide come to mind. Old games like Deep Rock Galactic and Vermintide II still have a decent number of players, too. Gray Zone Warfare is reasonably populated, though people rarely party up in-game for missions.

lmao the jeet CEO of Xbox within 6 months does huge layoffs, what a huge surprise that is. Almost like they're soulless ghoul people who are only interested in their own careers.
