The whole point of ABA is being able to be functional in all situations. Functionality, enabling it, preserving it, or restoring it, is the gold standard of everything in medicine. Anyone against ABA is a retard.

I like how Dr. Santamaria makes it very, very clear in that letter what the story is. The reason anyone else would diagnose him with Autism or anything else other than schizoaffective disorder is because they are using the tests and checklists that Andy has already memorized and knows what response to give to provide a positive score on that test. He's basically saying "If you are a retarded or incapable practitioner and only use checklists and basic tests to determine it is going to seem like he has what he wants because he knows the tests." Dr. Santamaria, as a neuropsychologist, is absolutely the best one to determine if Andy is full of shit. He has the training and experience to see right through Andy's bullshit. A competent neuropsychologist is worth their weight in gold. I know one that had a PhD in neuroscience and psychology and he was amazing, he could pierce anyone's veil of bullshit.

Any lesser practitioner that diagnoses Andy without reviewing his records and history is a moron.

Let me rephrase after. Rereading to the original post. India is a classic person with. Costa B personality disorder who understands how to fake autism. And mental illnesses for attention. The problem is there's a lot of psychiatrists who I would say, or autism mills, who will literally give the diagnosis out like candy. Which gives these people an excuse to be a societal menace to every single person around them.
And generally makes life harder with people who actually struggle with a disorder and actually have mental problems. Generally, people like Andy really should just be put in. Actual prison. If you're competent enough to run a computer repair business, you're competent enough to be tried as an adult. In a normal principle.

And also Andy probably also has from my experience with the mental health. Industry. Narcissistic personality disorder.
