In Will's defense, he offers the closest thing that the whole progressive/social justice wing has to offer to a positive view of society. He has an idea of what he wants to build, how things ought to be, and some realistic steps to take to (try to) make it happen.

If he were more politically savvy he might think of how to make his point in a way that frames this development as a benefit to his ideological opposites.
