Path of Exile

speaking of the karui, why do they look so different in poe1 (kaom's dream and act 6) than they do in poe2. Ever since I started playing poe1, I didn't think that the karui were actually human, I always thought they were a different species that inhabited Wraeclast, was kind of disappointed when act 4 was released in poe2 and it turned out they were just regular humans

I figured the poe1 Karui in Act IV were twisted by Kaom's corrupted dream, and the Act VI Karui were asset reuse resurrected and twisted servants of the awoken Tukohama (Seriously where DID they all come from in act VI?)

Yeah, it was Tukohama's tribesmen. We killed him and his dumbass protection totems. Him and Kitava were the only Karui gods that appear in the POE 1 campaign. Although founders of Karui tribes would be a better description than gods technically.

Most of poe1's lore are mumbo jumbo added along the way without much thought into continuity or some grand plan.
It was not until much later, or even poe2 that ggg actually really try flesh out their entire lore and add coherence to it.
And any story with "time travel" will always have plotholes, because all time travel is a paradox mechanic that humans are not able to fully figure out.
So it is better not to delve too much about the events on the previous cycles of life. (anything before big bang)
The beginning of divinity, before even the precursors are for all intents and purposes the beginning of the era for poe (the big bang).

That I call bullshit on considering TotA and even fucking Heist league have mentioned relevant information about lore that happened during POE 2's campagn. They've been keeping it straight and consistent all this time and have prevented the concept of time travel and different timelines from turning the plot into multiversal-anything-can-happen-kumbaya shit Warframe has descended into. Viper Napuatzi was lost to time in POE 2 and eternally trapped in legion crystals. Last to Die was introduced in Scourge league as alternate universe Alva and has not stuck around since. We meet young Alva in POE 2 while we meet experienced Alva in POE 1.
Although i am curious on what happened to the exile in poe1
It's been hinted at that exiles who lose themselves to the atlas become twisted like Sirus and the Conquerors...and remember how the Breachlords' original art were based off of exiles? Yeah.

There's a story?
A pozzed out story, but yes. Can't wait for my pantheon of girlbosses and non-whites to grant me Juju in the endgame since the setup is that so far, Una, Asala and that Maori guy we didn't kill for betrayal for some reason are being set up to "ascend". At least let me plow Servi, she has a good head on her shoulders.

I just mash click when someone talks to me so I can get back to killing and austically improving my build.

Same the story is actually worse and more gay than Diablo 3s. I've been doing plant daddy this league and its the easiest gameplay I've ever had since I started playing poe1 in Heist league. Breezed through everything as soon as I reached level 14 and started using the thunderstorm skill that causes the plants to explode.

No I think Tommy is right here, Alva in poe1 is a time traveled Alva from the future but in poe2 Alva hasn't yet been able to figure out time travel, she just discovered that she has special powers/blood in act 3 (poe2), meaning that Alva in poe2 is younger than Alva in poe1.
You're making up the connection entirely. There hadn't been any signs of that, her discovery pf her blood being able to affect Vaal structures doesn't indicate that she's a younger Alva.

And besides, it totally doesn't make sense. Alva from poe1 has progressed all the way to poe2(future) timeline. So for Alva from poe2(now) to time travel to poe1, it just creates a closed loop where she constantly travels back in time. And then she would have known that Wraeclast is going to be devastated again by the corruption etc.

So the Alva in poe2 now "cannot" go back to poe1 because she IS Alva from poe1.

Try Monkey bulid if you really want easy.

It makes sense to me how it might work out: Poe2 Alva meets the Poe2 Exile, discovers her bullshit Vaal time travel powers, at some later time after Poe2 goes back in time and meets the Poe1 Exile, then gets lost in the Atlas / joins the reformed Order of the Djinn and disappears from history before she can interact with her younger self, no loop, just some temporal overlap.
