High Schools:
Bunch of problems here that have nothing to do with the teachers. Without writing a thesis on the matter, they follow:
- Can't fail students. Parents will whine and moan if little retarded Gayden isn't getting an A+ in the AP class because he NEEDS to get into the best college.
- Can't bin students. Parents will whine and moan if Jamal Dindu McBastardson isn't in the AP class despite never showing up to class.
- Can't eliminate disruptive/violent students.
- Teachers are given a shit curriculum that favors absurd teaching methods or busywork.
- Can't fire shit teachers.
- Funding won't let you adequately reward good teachers and encourage new talent to join the field.
- LGBT golems reproduce by fucking kids physically and mentally.
Community Colleges/Trade Schools:
Bag of worms. Some are good. Some are shit. Can't say much beyond it. Anything with online certificates is a scam.
Universities:
Runs the gamut from cash grab, infinite jeet importation scam, absolutely worthless, to the most exceptional system known to man.
The main issue to understand with universities is that there are literally too many of them and the appetite for higher education even if you can't get into a top university is near endless. I'll keep it brief, but there's a bunch of very simple reforms needed at this level:
- Close cash grab universities. No more discussion necessary.
- Eliminate masters' degrees. They're mostly a waste of money and time and contribute to the credentialism crisis. They're also a leading source of infinite H1B jeets who will show up as "students" and then use their time in grad school as a backdoor into the US labor market.
- Defund public support of public university departments that can't meet graduate employment and compensation criteria. It will result in lots of performing arts programs closing their doors along with scores of useless departments.
- Revise funding schemes at public universities to favor quality of graduates over quantity. Part of this is tied to eliminating GEP programs and increasing the length of undergraduate degrees by a full year. For STEM programs in particular, modern technology is far more complex than it was 100 years ago. More time is needed to cover what is necessary to enable students to be useful day 1 to employers.
- Segregate graduate and undergraduate education. Research professors should be developing and teaching the senior-most courses relevant to the latest advancements in the field, not introductory chemistry. Hire more full time lecturers instead of grad students to keep undergraduate education quality high.
- Reduce total university enrollment within the US so that only the top 20% of high school students are expected to go to college. This will naturally help with reducing the overabundance of universities in the nation.
- Limit foreign student enrollment to no more than 10% of the student population of the program (e.g. to import 1 jeet you need 9 US citizens in the program).
- Increase state and federal-based funding for graduate studies so that Ph.D student stipends are competitive with industry work as a means of preventing foreign conquest of the US STEM infrastructure. The ratio of foreign born to US born scientists and engineers at the Ph.D level is an embarrassment. This is why your professors are mostly from India and China. Present pay for a Ph.D student in a STEM program is about $30,000 per year.
