You don't even need to mess around with EVs in these games. Most, if not all non-romhack Pokemon games can be beaten by just using your starter and whatever the first 5 other Pokemon you catch are, occasionally swapping in and out if you need for a specific gym, and even then you can usually just catch something nearby. They're games for children.
I hope not. On the one hand, Phil actually waddling out of his condo and daring to go someplace IRL only to get told to leave would be pretty funny, but I think Phil having to repeatedly go out multiple times produces more humor/salt for us, because he'd find something absolutely mundane and ordinary we all experience every day to complain and act shocked about. Plus, even if we don't get to see it, it's funny to imagine Phil cowering in fear as he slinks into the store.
Then again, it's a moot point. A store could call email Phil a week in advance and promise to shut down the store that day for everyone else but him, and they'd even just leave a box of cards for him to pick up on the counter without having to pay anything, and Phil still wouldn't go.

So either he's lying now because he's too scared to leave Renton and wants to look like less of a bitch, or he succeeded in finally crushing Kat's hopes for a honeymoon.

David however will in my opinion never leave King County Washington again, besides potentially going to a funeral for either of his parents, and to do inheritance paperwork. He has made it very clear he has no desire to go anywhere else in the 'outside world'

I know the people who give him money legitimately have something wrong with them, but I'd be livid if I gave him $25 and his immediate response is "I just wanted to let you know I'd open a pack if you gave me $50 instead." There's just something going on in his warped brain that concinces him that he's actually being helpful, and not greedy or condescending whatsoever.

It's just shortsighted and shameless begging. "They have money to burn, I lose nothing by seeing if I can get them to give more". At best maybe he rationalizes it as upselling, as if his "milestone rewards" actually are enticing people, and the donator is leaving value on the table by donating without getting it to the next goa- I mean, milestone.
