Well yeah, but I meant over reach in terms of tactics. You posed the idea that we shouldnt use the levers of power, to the same degree, because it didnt work out for the left.

Whether we should follow suit is based upon if that actually lost them the election, or if their policy stances did.

What actually lost them the election was being too obvious. Mayorkas went to congress and told about how he would bring lots of South Americans in front of everyone.

We should be sneakier if we want to win. The reason why public turned on ICE is that ICE was too much in the public eye. Now ICE is hated less despite deporting more, because they are not in the public eye anymore.

We can't win if we chimp out and threaten to deport Mamdani. We can win by deporting more people than ever (which we do now).
