The GTA thing is just a result of his narc ego being damaged. One time he took a free trial but forgot to cancel it and got charged. He can't admit he made a mistake, so it must be the world that is wrong. The logic is pretty simple: Phil is the smartest, most capable human on the planet. If it looks like he messed something up, like he didn't cancel a free trial or lost at a game, it must be an unfair trap that he couldn't possibly have done right.
He just seems desperate for money. He spends a lot of time glazing Warski on his Locals streams and probably in DM's because he knows PPP and the KC chat fucking hate him and anytime he is brought up "FLUSH THE DOODY" is spammed. He knows other detractors don't like him and just tolerate him because his fans are spergs and they don't want to deal with them.

Been thinking about the Pokemon cards more and more, and I don't think it's really acknowledged how much of a genius Phil thinks he is with setting them as milestones.
What's the one thing people think of when it comes to DSP? Begging for money.
Then, he watched JoonTheKing's TheQuartering video and an idea sprouted from the only thing he took from that video. 'Hey, wait a second. There's a market of people who like watching other people open card packs? That's easy. I can do that!'
Where Phil's malfunctioning brain did its magic, after being able to justify the cards as investments, was 'Now I'm able to beg for people to open Pokemon packs instead of money! Haha, suckers. The detractors won't know what to do about this when I'm not begging for contributions 100+ times every stream.'
Ofc, that all fars apart when you have an IQ above 80, but that doesn't matter. Phil has convinced himself he's not begging for money. He's begging to open Pokemon packs, and there's a distinct difference in his defective mind. So now is he not only not of the belief he's begging for contributions the entire time (he's begging to open Pokemon packs after all), but he's allowed to beg a hell of a lot more since it isn't money. Again, that line of thought does not make sense to just about any else since they see right through it, but that's exactly how his brain works.
The only problem with that master plan of his is if he accidentally gets hooked on Pokemon cards. If you ignore his addictive personality and affinity for hoarding, you'd figured he might be successful with that since he clearly doesn't enjoy the franchise. However, then he made the mistake of getting glued to the value of cards, and the naturally shiny reflection of holographic cards.
So now he's cementing his begging scheme turned newfound addiction by constantly scrolling through card prices of highly volatile assets, while buying packs at highly inflated prices by scalpers. Personally, I'm excited about that TCG show he mentioned because I 100% believe the idea in his mind is to just talk about the prices of cards, LOL. Can't wait.
On a related note, I'm highly curious just how much new money the Pokemon cards have brought in. Based on that recent June income report, it's about $1k more compared to last June, but there were also some rather massive and dubious donations recently so who knows. What'll be really interesting is roughly 2-3 months from now, if he's still shilling pack openings as much and whether he's still receiving the same level of support. We shall see!

Yeah, but it wouldn't be as retarded if he just stopped there. No, he can't do that though. Phil must sound the alarms on this ultra insidious scam that he singlehandedly. Sure, it's only a scam by the very strict standard of DSP (i.e., anything that unexpectedly takes his money, with unexpected being extremely relative and the operative word there), common practice in the industry, and pretty easy to cancel the auto-renewal. Doesn't matter. He found the scam, and anyone else claims it's not a scam is just a massive idiot who doesn't know how scams work.
That last part is what tends to get him in trouble with pretty much everything, and it has to be more than just narcissm. I'm not sure if it's some complex that grew from a bullied childhood, years of getting made fun of for being a specular retard on the Internet, or what. However, the fact Phil simply has to intertwine his pointlessly combative nature with snide remarks, all for the explicit purpose of showing how smart he is compared to how dumb he thinks of everyone else, accomplishes the exact opposite of his intent.
I just don't get it, and never will, since I don't have a handful of diagnosed mental illnesses. How that someone can go on and on and on for decades, constantly blaming everything else as the impetus for their retarded failures, while simultaneously claiming they're always doing everything correctly at the same time. You'd just figure they might have inadvertently stumbled on something that goes, 'Hmmm. Wait a second. I'm detecting a pattern here... There's always only one common factor in all this. All these other people constantly point it out, but I've always ignored... Instead of calling them idiots, let me think about this to myself for a minute...'

The one thing that all of ALT's hyper fixated deep dives shows is that he has NEVER been liked. Not once has he entered a community and been a positive influence, never once have people enjoyed having him around. Even in his 'glory days' of wasting money going to SF tournaments for no reason, he was just called a "Walking ATM", and that's just what other people with EQ's over 0 were willing to say to his face! Imagine what people really thought of him.

If only there were a game whose company got into a little controversy after the devs made changes to make the character creator output less ugly and get rid of the body type wording because of feedback the CEO got from public polling, one that'd court both his soulslike audience and his anti-woke grifting, one that Phil himself may've baited to his audience years ago. Alas, such a game isn't real, and even if it was Phil's a retard who wouldn't know any of that game's history against the 'modern audience' and a faggot with a whale of a beard and said company would likely design the women style characters in a sexual style manner due to said public feedback.
