Honestly though , seeing how these dents act in chat, they honestly have no lives or any understanding of what it takes to make money? I know Phil has the ability to make any game he plays boring but a lot of the stuff he plays nowadays are just current timeline AAA slop that nobody will care about anymore after a month or two. And I think given the sheer number of Rockstar devs that left GTA6 would likely be the same.

I forgot what that failure game DSP played that was made by a ex-Rockstar employee by the way. Pretty sure it was one of the piles of wagequitted games since 2024 and it was legitimate corposlop.

Remember when DSP was entertaining by failing at games and yelling at his TV? I miss those days.

It was GTA Liberty City Stories too, which is my favorite GTA TIHYDP because he somehow had the most trouble with it when it's the easiest 3D era GTA game. My favorite moment is when he did the mission where Vinny tries to set Toni up to go back to prison by making him get into a car that's full of drugs that the police have been staking out. I believe that mission is the tutorial for using the Pay'n'Spray so it's really early on in the game too. I swear, his car blew up right as the Pay'n'Spray door was descending five fucking times in a row, you couldn't replicate how inept he is if you fucking tried

however he cannot follow simple trains of logic, so he literally cannot comprehend circumstantial evidence. He told you the bank leaks weren't real, and you didn't see a printed page with his name on it signed and notarized so how can you know that it's his?

He doesn't even know what circumstantial evidence is, he thinks it's synonymous with weak evidence. Direct evidence is either an eyewitness account or a recording of the event, NOTHING ELSE. I bet he probably even used the term "smoking gun" at least once so he can differentiate between what he thinks is direct evidence and what he thinks is circumstantial evidence. Thing is, being found in a room with a smoking gun in your hand that killed another person in the room is circumstantial evidence, if nobody saw you perform the killing and there's no recording of it then you're being convicted of murder based on circumstantial evidence in this case.

As I mentioned in my original post, Phil's narcissism means he lacks the ability to actually understand that other people possess a different view of things than himself. You see this with the way he can't entertain a hypothetical. People, and myself originally, assumed he just fence sat because he didn't want to alienate dents with his opinions, but he has shown many times that he is willing to opine about controversial subjects. The truth is he is just that stupid. He can't imagine a world different than the one existing in his own head based on his own feelings.

The ability to understand how other people will interpret things you say and do is extremely important in lying. Another important skill is being able to imagine a world where the lie is the truth. You need to be able to imagine it as true so you can know the things that will give it away. Phil can't do this, and it just doesn't occur to him to plan for it.

If I lie to you about eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich 2 minutes ago, (Obviously, it's a bit of a bizarre scenario where you would be suspicious of such a mundane claim, but I'm tired, so it's the example I'm using.) it should occur to me that I need to cover the fact that I do not have any of it on me. My face is clean, my clothes are spotless, my breath does not smell like it. It would be a very easy lie to figure out if you were so inclined as to interrogate me over it, and would make it a bad thing to lie about. You and I would figure this out pretty quickly, but to Phil it would only become obvious after he told the lie and the other person started poking these holes in it. Even then he would have a hard time understanding how you went from "Your clothes and face are clean. You don't smell like you ate a PB&J." to "I think you are lying to me" because in his mind the logic to make that leap is simply not possible.

In addition to his glaringly weak logic abilities, Phil holds some unusual views about social interaction in general that give him some incorrect views on how lying itself even works. As is apparent from many aspects of his life, he believes that taking shortcuts/cheating is the equivalent of achieving something by any other method. You see this a lot in the accusations he makes towards other, more successful, people. He accuses other streamers of acting like clowns to entertain children, of pre-arranging tips, etc. This extends to his lying as well. He believes that as long as he can find a way to technically be correct about something, regardless of how far he has to stretch to do it, it is literally just as valuable as if he had been direct, genuine and honest.

Examples:
The Jasper reveal where he played semantics. "I said no one guessed correctly. You guys said I just got a cat, but I got the cat months ago and just now showed you." He knows full well that this is dishonest, but actually thinks that it means he didn't lie.
When he revealed the DSPReacts channel and said nobody guessed what the reveal was going to be. People had noticed he renamed one of his old channels to DSP Reacts and had correctly guessed this days beforehand. Phil sidestepped this by adding in some other stupid thing I can't remember to the reveal so he could claim "Yeah, but no one guessed there would be TWO reveals, so I'm right that no one guessed correctly." Again, this is obviously dishonest, but Phil believes this is the same as him being truthful.

His belief that people aren't allowed to feel misled or decieved by this behavior because "technically I didn't lie" really shows just how little he understands or is able to comprehend that other people have thoughts and feelings. If this was done to him, he would be outraged and call you a lying piece of shit, but when he does it, he expects everyone would just go "Oh well, I guess he was technically telling the truth and I was wrong because I didn't specify."

Another, much shorter, one is that Phil seems to believe that the burden of proof is on the person he is lying to. One of my absolute favorite Phil moments that I've talked about here before is the 25 off-camera push-ups. When he was promised money if he did 25 push-ups, he did them off camera. He was perfectly aware of the fact that doing them on camera was implied and would be expected, and yet he got genuinely angry at the person for not paying up. He really thinks that it works like a video game or some court room drama. "You offered me money for push-ups, but you didn't specify, so now you are obligated to pay me." sounds completely retarded to anyone with a brain, but to Phil this was something he actually believed he should be allowed to enforce. He really doesn't know the difference between having enough evidence to believe something and being able to absolutely, conclusively prove something. For some reason he has ended up with the belief that, unless you can provide solid irrefutable evidence to the contrary, you are required to believe whatever insane bullshit he decides to feed you.

I really do find Phil's mind fascinating. I mean, he's a complete retard, but this combination of extreme ignorance, complete lack of self-awareness, and tendency to act simply on emotion without thinking makes him very easy to dissect and understand. It reminds me of one of those machines they make with translucent sides so you can see the inner workings.

There was a trailer for a new 2d final fantasy game and Phail went into great lengths saying it's how FF7 should have been and that the game is "getting back to the root of final fantasy without any robots and flying ships". Now even if you're not a fan of FF, one of the most well known intros of the classics FF titles is the FF6 one where they are riding... robots alongside flying ships. FF6 is supposed to be Phail's favourite FF game according to himself. He can't even keep the LARP straight.

It's one small detail but if you look into it he's like that with EVERY franchise, especially pokemon.

I was in college and I was obssesed with Game of Thrones TV series when it came out, I couldn't wait for the next episode to broadcast. I've heard about the ASOIAF books and I bought a Scribd subscrition to read them, I don't remember how much it was but one day after some years I was playing with the banking app and I saw that I spent around 500 $ on that subscription that I used it for 1.5 months and I strated legit seething even if I'm doing well financially. It was 500$ spent on bullshit.
My point is if they aren't legit retards someday they will watch on their bank app and see how much money they send to ANOTHER MAN they will have a mental breakdown even if they are loaded because those are money spent on bullshit.

There were so many good one. In the Metokur react segment Phil was failing at a mission 9 times and in one attempt he drove his car into a narow walkway with stairs. His car flipped, exploded and took almost all his health. He then ran on the street where one of his targets was closing and said target just ran him over with his car. Peak Phil I must say. and I really hope his dents feed him money for his Pokemon addiction. One, his channel will most likely slide deeper into obscurity because is gets him no views and two his already atrophied gaming skills die with it.

Ultima and Wizardry are the two games that Hironobu Sakaguchi credited as the main inspiration for Final Fantasy and the former always blended traditional fantasy with sci-fi elements (Wizardry also did so but only starting with 6, which came out years after FFI). That's what also made Final Fantasy stand out from Dragon Quest for example, which was just straight up fantasy. But remember, he tries selling himself as this wizened Elder Statesman of Gaming who has been there for decades and has deep, unique insights into gaming history and the industry... but he somehow doesn't know even the most basic facts about one of the largest JRPG series
