Same exact thing happens in Australia (and probably new Zealand but I haven't seen any articles about it.) Iraqi young adult male raped a 14 y.o girl and the judge specifically and explicitly said he is tailoring his sentence around his "visa issues." They have some law where if youre a migrant you automatically get deported if you commit a crime that carries a sentence of more than two years. The aussie lawyers/judges org that provides guidance literally instructed them to lower punishments for anyone who would be automatically deported for their crime. Well most of the time, they have no issue deporting white criminals.
