I almost feel bad for GLITCH, they have a franchise that could potentially be their Sponge Bob money printer.
But the creator is doing his best to torch it and run, because he wants to make it all about his transition. Kids love Jax, but they won’t like him as a “uwu nice girl”.
By the way, the whole “I think there’s no way to go. The ending was definitive, don’t need more etc” is an adult opinion. Kids think more episodes are coming and they would consume more, and buy more merch.

The problem was his inherent limitations meant the way he perceived his job resulted in suffering, and also it wasn't stopping people abstracting.
Caine attempting to make them happy, failing to, and then losing his mind because they were better at making each other happy than him, undermining his entire purpose? Genuinely an actually pretty good bit of storytelling.
Caine earning his wings and becoming a real boy because they didn't want to kill him off? Lame.

Rather then outright retconning, they would have to mostly not reference the whole 'Troon Jax' thinh at all, and that whole segment becomes relagated to 'early installment wierdness' as the series moves on.
Anyone remember how goofy the first season of Star Trek TNG was? All that shit with Data fucking women and such were almost completely forgotten about. Jax will be a footnote, an early installment lesson in letting dispair take hold of you as the story progresses.
Assuming Glitch is serious about making money and challenging Disney, of course.

I feel bad for other indy creators. With the financial security from TADC GLITCH can afford to gamble more on different ideas. With their cash cow gone, they got to be more careful.
Good news is he isn't a troon... yet. Bad news is he is likely a gooner because the first episode has his cat girl waifu in a bikini.

You should check the GLITCH thread, there ain't a single sliver of hope for Gameoverse staying long-term because surprise surprise, 13 fucking years and Ross didn't do shit with it but wanted it on air anyway. His only idea was what you saw on the original Gameoverse except expanded, except now we have PTSD trauma for some reason.
The only way I could see it going on is if there was an actual tard wrangler somewhere in there but considering Arin's in there he's just gonna have a stick up his ass and not budge at all.

the glitch gameoverse is so removed from the standard original gameoverse and I don't think i'd have as an averse reaction to it if I didn't already see the digital circus ending leak before the troon talk completely consumed all talk about it.
Like it seems going by the end of digital circus and this new gameoverse thing that the message is like "trying to save/help thing out of situation BAD because there is no escape/world will explode or something" and I got a feeling this is like gonna be the going forward "message" of all glitch shows and it suuuuuucks!

Honestly, I think the best way forward for Glitch, should they want to continue clussy as a "franchise", would be to do a prequel. Coop has often been accused of sidelining most of the cast in favor of his self-insert purple bunny rabbit, right? Well, here's a way to bring him back on board: just drop the pretense altogether and make Jax the star, and have the show take place between his arrival at the circus and Kaufmo's abstraction/Pomni's arrival. The scenes in his mind palace in episode 9 felt a lot like a backdoor pilot for a Jax-led prequel anyway, and I'm sure Glitch doesn't want those Ribbit and Kaufmo models they must have spent a fuckton to create and animate to go to waste.
Have it be a much more lighthearted, comedic, adventure-of-the-week kind of show so that you can keep it going indefinitely and you won't need to worry about building towards a greater overarching plot you'll have to end in a satisfactory way (honestly, this is probably what the main show should have been in the first place). But if you want to have the bigger and more serious stories (Jax and Ribbit falling out, Ribbit's abstraction, etc.), you can save that for the season premieres/finales and/or the super long and epic movies you might want to do. And for good measure, after it's been going for a while you can throw in some fanservice for people who liked the original series by bringing in Gangle and Zooble for Jax to bully the shit out of (hopefully not that kind of fanservice).
People here have speculated that Glitch has employees that monitor this thread. Well, if they are, I've just given them the ultimate infinite money glitch(teehee). You're welcome, guys.

I watched only the first and last episodes because they are repeat recommendations on a stock youtube homepage with no algo data and they were mid. I'm not going to watch anymore but I am going to sperg about my experience watching it because autism. Jax was annoying as hell and I don't get why the cast hadn't forced him into digital self deletion (is that what abstraction is? It feels like its supposed to be a suicide allegory because "omg im insane" and turning into a goop monster felt really retarded), the entire finale was just cry.jpg and it felt emotionally empty even given I was missing context for not watching the other episodes.
Also, the troon probably answered in a blusky skeet or some shit, but how exactly is the circus maintained? Does the computer continually running a gmod server but with insane tier item interactions and animations just never overheat? How does the building its in remain powered but no one checks on the literal AGI they created? The entire premise just seems weird, like it was only thought out for the pilot and then made up as they went after that.
