He made a total of 3$ from those packs today of ''hit'' cards.

Copes about getting some good ones.

PHIL, your over 900$ in the negative from all the pokemon boxes and you have not gotten ONE....ONE CARD OF ACTUAL VALUE!!!

LETS KEEP THIS BANKCRUPCY 2.0 GOING! ADDICTIONS ARE BACK ON THE TABLE!!
I think it's funny overall he's in the negative on opening the packs like I see my degen case openers on CS2 gamble.

Wouldn't he technically be in profit from this retarded grift because he's not buying these to open for free? Originally he was charging $50 in one donation to open a pack, (36- 8 or so free packs) 28 x 50 = 1400 x 2 = 2800 - 967 from the price of the 2 boxes he's opened on stream = $1833. My math is going going off of him getting $50 specifically to open cards

Now that goals are cumulative there's going to be a bigger skew in how profitable this will be overall since he'll have to buy the boxes and it's not a $50 for 1 pack deal anymore and more of just a goal for each $50.

DSP = complains about playing Bubsy 4D

DSP plays a movie game or slop yellow paint action game with QTE's and 40 min cutscenes = AWESOME DOOD!

The best part of this current Pokemon grift is seeing something I mention here occasionally. Phil has been trying to find something for years like the vest. He had no idea why it worked, or why people paid money for it, but it lasted a while and made a bunch of money. He's tried so many other gimmicks in that time, stolen bits from other streamers, tried to rebrand, or branch into other content and none of it ever worked. That glee you see on his face with the Pokemon cards isn't just his addictive personality. It's the same as the KC arc where he thinks he has finally cracked the code.

He has no idea why anyone gives a shit, or why they will give him money for this, but he thinks he is gonna be "DSP: The Pokemon Card Streamer" and it's fucking hilarious.

The reason they're so expensive is cause the cards weren't being kept as a collectors item, we were battling them, and the cards were such a cheap quality that the holographics would scratch VERY easy from just shuffling them. Charizard was rare AF, no one at my school ever got one. A 1st edition even more so. How many kids threw them away as they got older? It's rare cause it wasn't meant to be collected and packed away.
This is completely true as well. The prices are extremely high for a number of factors but the obvious big ones are:
1. Major nostalgia inflating demand
2. True scarcity for the reasons you described decreasing supply

The cards in modern sets will never reach these crazy prices. Not many people will have nostalgia for this exact era of cards because not many kids are playing with these cards and building those memories. Pokemon is not kid-popular enough to be taking over schools like it used to be, it's stuff like Fortnite on everyone's phones and computers that they're bonding over. The demand that does exist will easily be met because massive groups of other people are buying these packs to store them and never touch them again until they resell them.

The worst part is that Bubsy 4D is actually a pretty damn good platformer all things considered. It's hard to get a 3D platformer right, but this one has a lot of fun movement tech options that let you go pretty fast and get pretty fancy. You have to keep in mind it's a $20 budget title and not a AAA console pusher, but when you do it has some style. DSP's attitude reminds me of this GIF:

Philbert will always find a way to nullify a good decision.

I thought the Pokémon grift was pretty smart initially. 50 bucks a pack, 32 packs, subtract a few that he opens on relevant streams and hes left with a really good profit.

I also figured he didnt actually give a fuck about Pokémon either, has no intention of selling the cards, doesn't play the game, purely a grift. The only way he could fuck this up would be by too many consecutive boxes since a dent will only open his wallet for the same trick so many times.

However, this nigga started acting like he gave a fuck about a box being "resealed" ... who gives a fuck if it is?

But he is genuinely enjoying this shit. Ripping packs alone in his office. While the grift is becoming over exposed and losing interest, Philbert is buying more boxes. Buying singles. Buying new binders every day.

All those profits he made off the first box? Working his way to delete that shit. He still surprises me sometimes. What a fuccen bozo

So, how long until Pokémon cards are completely memoryholed and fazed out of existence like they never happened? Will there be a particular event that causes this or it will be out of the blue?
My guess is Pokemon gets memory holed suddenly when he has a very slow stream playing it (like $50).

Who knows, though. Nobody could have predicted this is where we'd be a month ago. Maybe he fully financially kills himself because of this.

Leave it to DSP to stumble upon the most predatory TCG to get addicted to despite not knowing anything about card games. There's a reason why scalpers would camp out stores to buy cartfuls of boxes on release days just to cuck 10 year olds out of being able to buy Pokemon cards, Phil. Pokemon TCG actively encourages this degenerate gamba collector financebro mindset with their cards more than any other mainstream card game.

Soon.

If the penis is black Phil would gladly suck it for free. He'd only charge for whites, latino's or asians.

its really a small miracle that phil isnt a drug addict yet, and part of the reason why hes so funny. well other than his gin drinking which mostly manifests itself in 2am drunk tweets at phils black bull ltg which in itself is also funny. pretty much anything else would cause him to spiral and become another dime a dozen trainwreck junkie cow.
i think phil doing roids to support his gym rat larp could be hilarious tho, but he thinks hes too good for that.
I would unironically tip if CrackfiendSydePhil became a thing. Imagine a rebranded Smark Guys with Jenna and Ethan Ralph as full time cohosts discussing the best way to steal catalytic convertors, copper wiring, bugged scale mechanics because their dealer tried to short them, the Canon brothers fucking him with rollback crack pipe code after he set that first day of puberty tier goatee on fire when he tried to light his pipe.

Pretty funny that after a lifetime of playing Pokémon, DSP still struggles with types, names, what moves do etc but basically overnight is an expert on the money grifting side of Pokémon card collecting.
I do wonder sometimes how much of his helplessness he’s just faking during something like a Pokémon stream. Don’t get me wrong, Phil is obviously one of the most incurious, low-IQ simpletons on the Internet, but I think he’s clued onto the fact the lonely tards in his audience really respond to handholding him through things they like and giving them a chance to feel smart and helpful. Pretending he doesn’t know a single goddamn thing about Pokémon games, even though when you’ve played one you should really be able to remember all the series’ basic tenets, is a great way to bait handholding donations and engagement in his otherwise dead chat.

It might not even be conscious on Phil’s part. He’s like an idiot savant when it comes to mental midget wrangling at this point. On some level he just instinctively knows how to telegraph exactly the right amount of distress, or disappointment, or anger, to press the buttons of mentally unstable incels with nice juicy SSI checks waiting to be harvested.

Your math is probably correct. In my understanding, Phil was going to get the card goal from his retards no matter what, so it is a loss.
Did his income significantly drop after removing the dsp tries it goals? No. The first law of philsics is that we live in a snortex of inertia. Nothing can ever change. There is a few exceptions: the hairline; the jowl droop; the lore retcons. The dents are not an exception, they escape all known laws of dentropy.
Once a man gives phil a cent they are spiritually locked into a contract of indentured servitude. They will forever be a slave. Their warped mind will always come up with a new cope delusion.
“This will make the detractors seethe.” “I will felt phil with this twofer.” “This will keep my beloved game in the rotation.”
It doesn’t matter what the goal may be, we are dealing with dark esoteric findom succubus magic. If anything, the card goals are just slowing the drip feed, turning what might’ve been 10 daily fivers into a biweekly fifty bomb.
I am all in on bankruptcy part two financial boogaloo.

We've all seen Phil's "social experiments" and the recent flexing arc, Phil can't consciously lie to save his life. It's when he gets in his begging fugue state that he reaches his true, animalistic potential for squeezing money out of rubes. He must have a Jewish ancestor spirit deep inside him

What is his point here? What is he trying to argue? The dev isn't saying anything about money or quality. Arguably, sf6 having a planned life cycle means it will keep quality up for that entire period. At the same time, a new game would likely mean more money than DLCs, especially as sf6 sold over 7 million copies worldwide. With 75k steam reviews, and 75k max online during its release but hovering around 20k to 30k on steam per dlc, it seems a no brainer that the money play would be to dev sf7 on release of sf6.

Again, dsp shows he doesnt understand game development anyways since AAA games usually take 5 years to develop. Guess he's just salty he cant milk a new sf release for dent bux till 2033.

Also dsp wanting fgc attention again I guess. Just sad all around.

It's been almost 20 years and he still can't be assed to upload videos in order lol
1781160015.webp

It also seems like he's given up on the thumbnails altogether now that Darziak is gone
1781160417.webp

I was sold on Phil when I saw him give away empty game boxes as prizes, and he wouldn't even sign them lmao
Now he's charging $50 to write your name on a sleeve for a card he's keeping, it keeps getting better
