This new pseudo pokemon goal is just so fucking regarded, it's honestly mental watching him hassle some whale with "yknow cockgobbler69 you're only 20 dahlers off the 50-dahler-personal-non-goal, hint hint". It's just objectively worse, his whales probably feel pressured and hassled by this shit (more than usual, anyways) and his minor minnow level small scale contributor money creatures don't even get to participate, which stifles any potential whales he had waiting in the wings.

If he had brains and balls he'd just announce "guise, I'm bringing back goals for the duration of the poke card grift, if you have a problem with that, get bayunned", but he's wrapped up in his weird vision of 'success' in the fact that he doesn't have goals anymore, even as he hassles dentbrain22 in chat to hit goals that aren't goals because he says they're not goals

You're thinking about it too much. Phil has no political ideology because he is too retarded and selfish. In Phil's perfect world he would pay 0 taxes, but the state would provide every service.
In Phil’s ideal world, the government would pay HIM tax and provide all services.

His hairline makes the Wutang symbol
Darkside Phil ain’t nothin’ ta fuck wit!

He should just make it a $50 goal quota, that for every $50 he receives by the end of the stream he'll open a pack. It gives the broke dents a chance to "help him out" by giving him the last $3 to open the pack and removes the pressure he puts on the whales. It's not like he'd lose any money; if someone planned to give him $100 to open 2, why would they suddenly change their mind when it's no longer a personal goal contribution? His refusal to return to the goals is probably hurting him more than it's helping him, beyond his ego. Even then, I'd imagine his ego would inflate if he made more money by going back to goals, compared to now. Thankfully, he won't change.

Would make more sense if he opened packs every cumulative $50, but then he wouldn't be Phil

I eagerly await the next grift idea he steals from quartering: Coffee Style Coffee.

Last night, the director of the FF7 Remake trilogy, after making a huge reveal presentation at SGF, called up Maximilian Dood and asked if he could stop by Max's house to talk about the game. Wow!

Let's check in on Phil Burnell, his PEER and fellow OG content creator from the earlier days of gaming YouTube, and see who HE was talking to last night...

I don't know if he is unironically this stupid or he just didn't want to admit that he got scammed but when he is pushing the 50 USD Pokemon card grift I'm pretty sure that he brought repackaged boxes from scammers who searched all of the valuables out, and he was like "I don't know why but the cards all look the same" and nothing valuable comes out.

Imagine him going WWE Champions mode on opening Pokemon booster box scams with no-win deals.

I don't know about the details, but wasn't there a way where scammers can pick off a specific pack with secrets/valuables from a box and leave the shit Pokemon EX behind if they know what to do?

Also that's just booster packs in a nutshell, there's a reason why purchasing singles is often deemed better for less expensive card games where useful cards can be reprinted on routine.

I don't believe this is repackaged, it's just a numbers game, would things be as valuable if you new that every box contained a card more valuable than the box itself? Then the box would be worth more.

DSP is just dented and he believes that in a box he should find something valuable, its stupid and naive to think you would. He is translating his gatcha game experience to the card boxes. In a gatcha game there is no "real" scarcity since its just code that either gives you the big pull or it doesn't based on some predefined chance. These are literal printed cards, what's in the box is in the box. He is applying the game logic of changing odds, in these games to encourage big pulls and whales, the pull odds change, based on if you are making a 1 pull, 5 pull, 10 pull, 50 pull, etc. So in DSPs gatcha riddled brain I got the box(32-36) pull, I am entitled to get the banner card/wrestler.

That said I do like detractors gaslighting him into believing that its a reseal, it hits DSPs sense of paranoia and its not his fault mentality perfectly.

Phil doesn’t acknowledge small donations, to him they don’t count. His limited brain only sees the binary of the donation either meets his requirement for promised action or it doesn’t.

One thing I find funny about the card opening saga is how he anthropomorphizes the booster box and thinks that it's sentient and is even sympathetic to him and that after he does enough "pulls" he'll finally get that $1500 polychromatic foil Gyarados or whatever the fuck that's the most valuable card you could get in the box. Now to be fair he is by far not the only person who starts suffering from gambler's delusions like this but it's still funny, I think that in particular you can see he's been mindraped by gachas because he really thinks the booster box has some sort of pity/spark system like gacha games do, where after you do enough pulls where you don't get who you want, the game just lets you get them for free out of pity. This is something that can't happen with actual physical booster packs, you could buy 100 of them and theoretically you could still pull useless shit in every single one.

He truly is 12 year old brat in a 45 year old melting fish body. Reminds me of when I was 8 during Easter and I'd try to manifest a golden egg during the hunt because they had a $20 inside. Sometimes it'd only be a single dollar or a fiver but the lesson was to be grateful for whatever you got since other kids would only get a mini Reese's cup in their egg. Or not even have a family.

Phil is always looking for a golden egg so he can trace the golden goose and finally not be able to beg (asmongold/kino casino arcs). But he will definitely kill the goose ASAP because he's naturally retarded, a nigger and gay!

"Bugged Easter mechanics dood!"

It's just the typical gambler's fallacy shit I've seen it in person at casinos before "Well I've put $2k in without a bonus on this slot machine so it's about to hit big" or similar shit. DSP should go watch some rip and ship Pokemon card streams these dudes will open like 10-15 boxes and get maybe a couple of "big" hits at most with most of the hits just being under $50.

I have no opinions on this game at all but calling Deborah Ann Woll ugly makes me think you may be as much of a faggot as Phil.
Brother, they aged her up in the game, in no way does she look like this IRL. We gotta stop coping for games, jean gray in the wolverine game looks awful compared to her comicbook self.

You know this shit has to be some sweet baby inc shit because every woman at comic-con looking like a jean gray looks hot.
If women will cosplay krato's hag wife, they will pretty her up.

Why does every guy look like their IRL self in western game development but the women look retarded.

He should try watching a pokemon streamer for if no other reason than to at least learn how to open and hold a pack of cards. Laying the entire pack face down and pulling each card from the bottom of the pile one by one is the most retarded way you could possibly open cards. Its amazing how he manages to find the absolute dumbest ways to do literally anything.

Remember when Phil was just starting with the card grift and he would say he thought this next pack he was about to open felt heavier than the others? Yeah. So now we know, he was just saying that because he read online about how supposedly scalpers put the packs on a scale and the fancy valuable cards are a tiny bit heavier so they can tell which are the dud packs.
So Phil honestly expects people to believe he can tell the difference of a few grams in weight just by holding something in his hand.

it's even better than that. according to the sources I found after 10 seconds of google, the typical observed variation between packs from the same set is on the order of 0.1 g or less.

also I heard that the code card actually has randomized weight, but I don't care to look that up right now

I'm an old had when it comes to TCG's but I did dabble in yu-gi-oh in it's first two or three years around and my question is thus: back then the rare was in the middle of the pack but the other cards never were random meaning if you saw one card the next two or three behind it would be the same thing would that be the same for these pokemon cards?
