Nolan's The Odyssey - Potentially could be epic or an epic flop.

As a related aside, has black african culture (the people as opposed to the land) contributed anything of substance to the civilised world? North Africa sure but black africa?
Nope. Even the africans that can remember the time whn white's ran things say they want it back because it was their high point and thir public works wre maintained.

I think the film will do fine compared to most of what's been put out lately, but it is not going to be the billion dollar earner they hope for. Ithin th stimats for braing ven is lik 700m? I don't see it making much more than that. Still hoping it bombs though.

At least the (as expected) TV Tropes community is still excited.

One of the alleged locations of Calypso's island could have been near Malta, a country that's closer to Africa than to Greece. Makes sense that Calypso could be seen as exotic. Also, Vanessa Williams was popular enough to be wanted to be part of every product.

Amd I'm sure Xena was never expected to be an actual adaptation of the Greek myths.

I’m so sick of negroes being shoved in my face from every possible media source - tv, movies, magazines, music videos, politics, etc. - that I’ve developed an almost preternatural revulsion at glimpsing their primitive visages.

They are not attractive creatures. They are not pleasant to be around. They are not my people.

I don't mind them as long as it's a proper cast. What I hate is how they've made their presence a political matter. I dread that we might have some article about how Helen being black is symbolic of how black women were slaved and treated as property and all that garbage these people love to write about to make it about their issues even when the story has nothing to do with them in first place. If they do something like it, then the character ain't no longer Helen of Troy, but someone they made up to make it political and to send a message about black oppression.

All I want to watch is a movie about a guy who needed ten years to go back home and his many adventures and how he then put order in his house when he returned finally. Why is that so hard to deliver? Just make up some movie about a black queen who was kidnapped instead of insert that plot into the Odyssey. All those people cheering for this movie truly don't care for the Odyssey, they just want to consume some random movie with plots that were not in the original book to have something to talk about because nothing original is made anymore.

It's kind of crazy how washed out and colorless (lol) this is. Even if it wasn't full of niggers, trannies, and all manner of cultural theft and sabotage, it still looks terrible.

This guy can't even balance the sound in his movies properly, he's a BUM!

If I mounted a mirror on Nolan's ceiling he would be unable to figure out why it flips the image vertically!

Rewriting history to shove as many niggers into it in places they don't belong is wholesome, cool and acceptable.

Raceswapping a comic book character to make him white as a joke is heccin unwholesome, bad and unacceptable.

I mean what is there to even say at this point? Everyone knows the "americans worship niggers" copypasta. Not much you can even add to it. It does show in 2 images at least why liberalism/progressivism is an actual enemy of civilization, history, and truth in general.

Curious what those retarded videos say but I'm afraid my IQ will drop if I subject myself to them.

You're talking about a culture that didn't even invent the wheel while the rest of the planet was perfecting manned flight. The reason they feel entitled to steal everyone else's culture and accomplishments is because they don't have any of their own. And of course, a certain group of people are more than happy to help them do it:
Do we know that Greeks weren't black?
Well, if a certain group of people is to be believed, we don't, because greeks were actually black:

And let's take a look at the early life section aaaand:

Oh wow what a shock, I never saw this coming.

That's why popular entertainment has been slop for the past ten years, and somehow, no one has actually learned.

My whipping child for all matters related to identity politics is Ghostbusters 2016, where there should have been giant blaring klaxons going off about how literally every move they made surrounding this movie is exactly how you do not create and market a movie, nor engage with the audience.

Once you make a movie political when it is not supposed to be (particularly if it is off a brand, property, IP, or a story that has existed for centuries to millennia) and people know this, you have basically poisoned the well for that movie. With GB2016, you didn't need to know nor care about the plot. All it became was "Feminism, the Movie". And we had enough of that in 2016 when people were talking about Hillary Clinton being elected President, never mind micro-level politics. Now you're asking me to pay for getting lectured in a theater when all I wanted was to laugh at a dumb movie about ghost exterminators? The fuck kind of teacher's pets are running Hollywood anyway?

So the second I hear about a movie playing up the identity politics thing, it's just the same: the story and any entertainment value are subsumed into whatever "lesson" I'm supposed to take from seeing BLACK BLACK BLACKITY BLACK WOMAN on screen. It's no longer "hey, look at this talented person being best for the role" (something almost nobody would have given a second thought to 25-30 years ago), to "Gee, I wonder what I'm supposed to think based on seeing a black woman in a traditionally white role, rather than what the story on screen is".

It's distracting, it's irritating, and it's turned the entire entertainment sphere into a gnarled mess of meta-commentary no matter what side you land on in the debate. I'm tired of the concept of somehow needing some level of pseudo-intellectual "media literacy" bolstered by interviews from the creatives to make sense of what a movie is supposed to be saying. Just let the movie speak for itself. Let it be internally consistent. Don't ask me to accept a premise that doesn't make sense. Don't make me go online to chase down a rabbit hole on the filmmakers' intent.

I'm so tired, boss.

Nah, low in intelligence and high in narcissism types absolutely love it.

The male actors of the Odyssey had a photoshoot for GQ and the results are hideous soy faggotry
They seem to be intentionally trying to tank this movie now. I don't know what the marketing department with this are thinking. Maybe they're just going for shock/hate value but that never really worked when it was new and now people just can't stand it.
