I had a bra fitting years and years ago (post-teenage), and you know who else was there? My mother, whom I invited along for moral support. Not that I thought some lady from the bra store was going to molest me, but for the same reason you bring a family member to an important doctor's visit: to help you remember things and ask questions. And also because changing your bra a dozen times in an hour is a hassle but not something intellectually engaging, so it's less awkward if you have someone to talk to.
