The US is better than some in this regard (housing contribution to the economy) and worse than others. ~16% (latest figure) is hardly the end of the world. Your wish for a "huge correction" wouldn't solve the problem, but would reduce the majority of the country to economic misery. Congrats on being a selfish, histrionic asshole - we all knew you had it in you.
What do you mean by majority in this case? We have whole communities in rural counties and the rust belt that are propped up by government subsidies, we have companies propped up by subsidies, we have whole groups (blacks) propped up by subsidies. None of this is sustainable, and the government policy for the last 6 years has been to pretend recessions don’t exist.

That is insane and is reason enough for a huge correction. Totally unsustainable. Selling houses to each other is not productive economic activity yet it does count toward GDP which says a lot about its value as well.
At least we’re not Canada. Their economy consists almost entirely of real estate speculation, financial services to support said speculation, and government spending.

The one productive sector they have, resource extraction, has been all but killed by eco cultists.

Government is always garbage at it, so it should instead focus on the legal side of allowing debt to be unwound and focus on speeding up recovery by ensuring courts aren't taking forever to take care of any of the legal side of things. Allow bankruptcies and other legal matters to be dealt with quickly and efficiently, and you'll get a quick recovery from any bubble popping. Rip the bandaid off.
I agree with 99% of your post but do think you're a tad optimistic here. Economic recoveries from bubble pops have historically been both painful and lengthy.

The home ownership rate in the US is +65%.

Biden? I doubt he thinks much of the Presidency that he was barely conscious for nowadays, except for reminiscing over how fucking funny it was that he fucked over the Dems on the way out. He’s the one that saddled them with Kamala after all.
No I just remembered his name James Carville.

I want to agree with you but strictly speaking this is not the case. It is rather the endpoint economic driver for everything else.

A great many tents are propped up on the housing tentpole because of the myriad of demands that home construction and repair creates.

This is part of why I argue it would actually grow the economy if the gov built and gave out homes to responsible people. More homeowners means more customers for tradespeople and Home Depot by extension.

Social Autopsy was the social media thing, and it was basically meant to be some sort of auto-doxxing database thing. We would now call it Digital ID only ran by a 3rd party. (Social Blade is a thingy that tracks the metrics of accounts on other social media networks, like watching Patreon accounts for how much they make or watches Youtubers or Twitch Streamers for sub numbers.)

[further details snipped for brevity]
Well Christ, at least I got two words ("social" and "Quinn") right, eh? JFC that was just a decade ago. How depressing my own fucking memory has turned to Swiss cheese so quickly. :(

It's fine, I got halfway through my reply until I remembered it was Social Autopsy not Social Blade and had to rewrite it.

I'm not familiar with it, but yes, that was basically her plan. Make a publicly available troll database to try and link identities. So you could check in WOW if the LFG healer you got is known for trolling on Twitter or something. The obvious next step would be "HR could verify they had the right thoughts" but it didn't get that far. Instead, Governments are trying to do it instead.

Got these today. Hope everyone's had a good Memorial Day.
Ran some D&D for my dad and his friends complete with BBQ and desserts. Had two shots of bourbon, one for my old man's service and one for a buddy of his who didn't make it back after getting his leg blown off by an RPG. Given the stories my dad told me, I'm very lucky he's still here. God bless the fallen and let your family know you love them while they're still here.

Fat 50 year old tweaker hillbilly
What the fuck do you want? I was sleeping before I head out to hunt some copper wire.

Candace Owens is a vile fucking creature.

She hung out in the same Skype and Discord rooms as Ralph of The Ralph Retort and a lot of others. As soon as Quinn shot her in the ass and pushed her overboard she immediately ran to the other side.

And she has pancake titties.
