Not sure how I made you and others feel im trying to force you into a win/lose situation I just like being able to have the discussion even if you dont agree with me, often especially then as it allows me to refine my views better.
You didn't, really, save that sometime you get
really into one interesting tree in a massive forest of them, and proceed to minddump in this thread. And sometimes, you do that about things best left to one of the conspiracy/schizo/schizo-conspiracy/topical threads.
And I
was being a bit of a dick, myself. I hurt my back a while ago, and I keep trying to do too much before I can, thus making it worse. The pills they gave me make me feel like shit and a bit nutty, so I'm rawdogging the pain today, aside from a back brace and some ointment, and I was bitchy. Not exactly an excuse, nor one that's
fair to you, but there it is, and I own it.
FWIW I do apologize if I came off
overly harsh. Overly being subjective, here of all places
especially. And sometimes a brotha just gotta preach. I think you of all people would understand that!
The tech companies are literally building their own powerplants on site.
Do you actually believe this?
SOME are. That's a pretty important distinction. I don't care if a datacenter in utah build an eleventy billion gigawatt antimatter reactor to power itself, because the ones they
are actively trying to build within 100 miles of
me are going to be on the same grid I am, and
even the energy company here says everyone's rates will go up with higher demand from data centers.
Until every data center new and old actually
does this (hint: they're not! Not anytime soon, probably not
ever for many/most. You're consuming too much PR if you buy
that) you're going to pay higher rates on the same grid as a datacenter. Even on a neighboring grid you might be impacted.
