Few people want to admit this but there are swathes of the country where it’s not advised to drink the tap water. You have to either boil the tap water or buy bottled water, which is significantly more expensive.
Her legacy is a bad one anyway. She was being fast tracked for DNC leadership a decade ago where she broke from the Hillary consensus in favor of Boinie Sanders. It was a big deal at the time and her profile got further elevated. But she fell into the migger crowd early and was strongly rumored to be on the shortlist for Secretary of State. She then became a Fox News commentator until she ran for president in 2020 for the Democrats where she cognitively killshot Kamala. Then she went back to Fox News peddling miggerism where she took a much lower profile job of director of national intelligence.
She’s still only 45, by the way. She’s not welcome at either party now. Not sure what her next steps are at this point. Despite her rapid rise, she made shitloads of political mistakes in the last decade. It’s a pretty cowardly way to go out.

Her profile with the left was elevated but she was harshly punished by the party and Respectable liberals, who accused her of being a Russian spy and enemy of America. She was dead in congress after that and was going to be primaried hard. Trump shit, basically. I've always assumed that signing on with Trump was just her working out her grudge.

The amount of Russian spy accusations that happened around the Biden era are just insane. Especially with nothing materializing for most of them seemingly. But of course everyone forgets what they cared about a few weeks or months ago, and everyone moves on to the next thing. Putting the insane propaganda they thought was an existential threat in the past, and forgetting it ever happened.
It's all so tiring. really.

Our Government are retards. It's our media that is fucking gay, and our retarded government listens to gay fucking media hacks instead of Aussies (because they are retarded). Despite what our local cookers claim (these cunts are also retards) we've got 60 years plus of every politician (local, state and federal) absolutely shit scared of the Murdochracy. To the point they are intimidated by a short cunt that does morning shows and does stupid things like dancing Gungnam style and a balding male rapist who used to do talk back radio.
Though big changes are coming. The Boomers have been the dominant voting demographic here since 1967, and it has only been since 2025 that they got replaced by millenials and zoomers. So you have a media institution and government that has catered exclusively to Boomers for 60 years now having to try and appeal to Gen X, Millenials, Zoomers and the Alphas coming up behind them, and niether the politicians nor the media companies have the first fucking idea of how to do that because catering to boomers has become institutional and habitual. The next 15 years is going to be an extinction level event in Australian politics and media. Some parties (like Labor) will survive, but most media outlets and minor parties are going to go the way of the Dodo.
Good example is our Orange MAGA. It is a personality party built around Pauline Hanson. It is surging because many people are defecting from the LNP (our formerly dominant conservative party). Problem is however, Pauline Hanson is 72 years old, and hasn't exactly lived a clean and sober life (Ipswitch slappers love their goon and durries). Pauline is at slim odds to make it another decade, let alone 15 years, and once she drops off the entire thing will go tits up because the party is about Pauline Hanson. Not an actual unifying point or philosophy.
The LNP has fucked itself with a right wing purity spiral, where they are chasing out more and more moderate people, meaning they're facing extinction, so I'm betting a new conservative party will form that covers everything right of centre that will replace them. For people who say this is unlikely, a reminder, this exact scenario has played out three times since federation, with the Liberal Party replacing the original United Australia Party, the United Australia Party replaced the Nationalist Party, and the Nationalist party replaced the Protectionist Party and Free Trade Party Coalition. All because each fucking one got locked into a right-wing purity spiral.
Combining the death of the Boomer with the same shit different decade mistakes means things are about to change very rapidly in Australia for the politicians and media hacks. Hope similar shit happens elsewhere.

Issue is Murdoch is all in with Bibi, all Aussie Pollies are shit scared of Rupert, so will tow the zog line. If Rupert suddenly he decides he's anti-zog (Rupert is a mercurial cunt) then the laws will go. Rupert dies and the media influence wanes, they now have to cater to younger voters over boomers, and with younger voters having majority unfavorable opinions of zog, then the laws will go. They might stick around a couple of years, but they'll get the arse.
To understand Australian Politicians all you need to do is understand the giggle, it is not power that motivates them, it is the perks. They get good pay and free meals in Canberra (which has pretty good restaurant scene) and most parliamentary sessions are a piss up where you'd be surprised who is fucking who. Australian politicians biggest fear is losing that privilege. At the moment Rupert's ability to sway Boomers and polls is what they're scared of because they'll lose their tax payer funded wage and piss up privileges, if that is no longer the case, they'll repeal. If they think they'll lose it for catering to zog when that is unpopular with the newer voting majority, the they'll cater to that group and repeal. Losing piss up and root around privileges is what motivates our politicians and to be frank it wouldn't be the Australia I love if this wasn't the case.
