Has giving up an 'empire' ever worked out for the ones in power? UK, Russia, Rome, Ottomans? They all end up fucked quickly. So yeah, these idiots going on about it as if we even have one.. Whatever.
the other empires were empires because of their imperial/colonial possessions. Italy itself could not support 650,000 legionaries and 100,000 government agents. Rome required all of western Europe, north Africa and the holy land for that.

The UK needed it's colonial possessions to extract wealth enough to fund the Royal navy and the most highly skilled infantry in the world circa 1914.

Russia needed it's Empire (Tsarist and communist) to secure a defensible border, as Germany proved twice that their European frontier was indefensible. their natural resources are great, but wide open for attack. and their major population centers are clustered around St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The US has all the resources needed within it's home borders. Natural wealth equivalent to Europe and Africa, a navigable river system equal to no other on earth and unassailable defensive terrain, and a population dispersed across an entire continent. An Empire by choice post 1945, not an empire by necessity.

This might have been true with the annexation of Hawaii, but it absolutely became necessity post 1945, because we determine the entire economic system of the world since then, as well as international geopolitics. If some air strikes in Iran causes gas prices to go up here, that is not merely choice or arbitrary, but a necessity to maintain the “empire”. The US is too big for its britches and no one has the will to steer the plane down for landing so to speak. It will crash and burn, none of it is sustainable. Whatever comes out of the wreckage we will see, but it just can’t be predicted at this point. There are dramatic overhauls to the welfare state, international positioning, minorities, religion, lobbying, immigration, education, and citizenship that are absolutely necessary because the 20th century “imperial” constructions of ‘45 have failed and are buckling under its own weight.

im not wrong about charlie tho, they said that fucking tranny shooter broke the rifle down ON THE ROOF, jumped off in like 3 mins (impossible)
I'm hedging my bets at $20 that you both do not know what kind of rifle it is, nor have any idea of how "broken down" is defined here.

I once again request that you quit spouting off about things you know nothing about. If you're going to drunkpost on the kiwifarms, at least do something funny. Harrass spergatory users maybe.

So were the 170 citizens detained because ICE thought they were illegals or were they detained because they were committing other crimes around ICE agents? Even if they are specialized in immigration enforcement they are still federal officers.

I've always found it absurd how people act like Native Americans would want infinite migration just because they're uhhh brown? You can say whatever about White America's relationship with the natives, everyone else gives even less of a shit about them.
A lot of people got beaten with the progressive hollywood stick that all brown races are this interchangeable blob of vaguely exotic food flavors and aesthetics that stick together no matter what when browns are hillarously far more racist than any white racist wish they where and proud of being just slighly different from others to a chauvinistic degree.

Like a lot of the most brutal and psychotic genocides where at the hands of niggers killing other similarly looking niggers just for being across the rivers or natives being so deranged some tribes had to build literal underground city bunkers societies else they would be eaten alive and turned into a chair by other tribes of praire niggers and these tribes would do the same to the others if given the chance. Basically they believe in this idealized idea of the pacifist cosmopolitan ascended noble savage because thats what they where sold for years.

It's not the type of rifle you can break down. It's a hunting rifle, with a wooden stock. Also, the bullet deflected downward and traveled through his vertebral column, 6 inches of bone and shock absorbing cartlidge. The "facts" don't add up when you're making up the "facts".

I can't stand online no-nothings when it comes to ballistics and guns. You can fire 5 same shots into the same gel and get 5 very different curves, whatever depending on so much. Cartridges aren't all the same speed, especially an older round that this guy apparently was using in 30-06. You get so much chaotic reactions from gun impacts it's why even most of the old ballistic forensics is just voodoo.

The worst was the JFK movie 'back and to the left' thing. Yeah, the interaction of the bullet to the nervous system reaction and the angles of attack and the extra exit force of debris ablation absolutely produce paradoxical reactions to bullet impacts. Just ignorant people that think they know it all.

None of these people ever shot a gun. They're the types that think Trump's ear shot had to be fake because a 5.56 graze through cartilage would explode and not just be a tiny 5mm wide hole with a lot of blood.

These retards think that ICE agents cannot arrest you if you are an American citizen period. Think back to all those videos of "protestors" screeching "I'M AN AMERICAN!" while getting cuffed by ICE over the last year. These people are SovCit levels of retarded.

The most peak shitlib gun commentary I ever witnessed personally was a co-worker who disliked guns but suddenly was considering buying one for self-defense after Trump was re-elected.
In talking about it, he said that if he were to get a gun, he thought he should get a pistol because he "wouldn't be able to handle the recoil of a rifle".
His understanding of firearms was genuinely that because the gun is bigger, that means the recoil is bigger.

Of course, this individual was also insistent that every Trump assassination attempt was fake/staged (and, unrelatedly, also continued to vaxx/mask until last year).

the AC selling-guy on the way out actually pushed back a little with "Make America Great Again, eh? How's that working out for ya?"
Complain at the customer service desk about that bullshit. Paying customers shouldn't be heckled by the carnival barkers on the way out the door.

Costco's a standard-procedure American corporation contaminated with leftists but they still (surprisingly) stand pretty firm against the hired help actively trying to offend the paying customers.

I'm glad I'm in a position that I can tell such people irl to fuck off and die, and walk away. I won't be around such people irl anymore. A bit more living money just isn't worth that torture.

But how did a known crazy person, with a stay away order, somehow have a pistol in Washington DC, where such things are illegal without special permissions?
Isn't it interesting how we have this mass proliferation of "Flock"-style AI-powered cameras nationwide, where they not only read license plates of cars now but actively track vehicular movements, use AI inference to try to "predict" the travel patterns of specific people, etc., and the states implementing them have proven the shit works because it worked so well in Colorado they shut them down to prevent them helping ICE find illegals, and yet somehow that very same technology is mysteriously silent about the movements of people literally known to the state to be dangerous?

Seriously, shouldn't "Palantir" or whatever it's called have been screaming in the feds' collective ears for the hour+ travel time it took this asshole to get close to the capitol? Come to think of it, why hasn't this fancy AI-powered stuff been put to actually practical law-enforcement use, like automated enforcement of restraining orders (e.g. person X has a TRO granted against person Y, you know person Y is single and lives alone (because of other surveillance and public records) and is the only person who drives person Y's car, and suddenly your camera detects said car near person X's house when you also know person X is home) and automated capture of wanted felons, bail jumpers and the like?

They've just been using this shit for gimmicky revenue-enhancing purposes. Fuck the speed cameras -- I want to see bodycam footage of jilted angry ex-girlfriends acting shocked and stunned that the cops "knew" she was at her ex-bf's house to threaten him and his new GF in spite of a TRO. I want to see arrest videos of Shaniqua and Quantavious at the local liquor store having no clue "how dey find us." I'd especially love to see a gunman like this shooter casually stroll towards his target ... only to round a corner one block away and see a fucking row of angry SWAT officers in full gear all aiming straight at him and barking orders to surrender (because they knew where he'd be thanks to a clever AI saying "hey he just picked up a fucking rifle at Bob's Gun Emporium and is driving up towards the National Mall now."

Why aren't they using this gear (that's obviously already installed and already capable of it) to nail down real criminals? If I were Trump, this is one of the few things I'd be genuinely yelling at people in my security apparatus about.

There's few options. They can't do it, or won't. I think they could with all that flock AI, but I think mutahar and his jobst style bullshitters have overblown their ability and even willingness to surveil totally.

The ones pushing the all powerful AI stuff lately are critikal, and jobst-related IDIOTs. It's obvious they can't currently face zoom everything like out of that will smith movie now. There's also probably some games being played to let this stuff get close but not too close. You'll never be able to know though.

What you'll end up with is conspiracies all the time, over everything because nobody has a sense of moderation in life.
