More realistically, the smarter Dems who could pull it off are all old as shit and would be far better off enjoying their last years then trying to start a revolution.
Meanwhile the young Dems are the most bottom of the barrel after decades of the elders purging the smart ones. They are also impulsive and quick to turn on each other to power level their superiority. Even if they wanted to, I don’t think AOC or her followers are smart enough to achieve anything other than attacking the low class, city dwellers they are fighting for.
I think everyone misunderstood what I meant by civil war.
Let me do a hypothetical here.
Newsome wins in 2028 and thanks to economic conditions the Democrats also win the House and the Senate. They take control in both the house and the senate.
So in order to secure power they have several things the have to handle the first being the SCOTUS. As currently in the eyes of most Americans the SCOTUS is still a reputable branch so out right going against them will be very, very tricky. Newsome ain't no Andrew Jackson so he will have to subvert the court. How? Easy, add more justices and with all 3 branches it's done in a month tops. No filibuster, it gets shut down so the court gets 4 more Ketanji Brown Jackson in the space of a month. Now the SCOTUS is 100% a Democrat tool.
Using this new tool Newsome kills all of Trumps EO, every last one. SAVE act? Gone, Voter ID. Gone. Anyone can vote without ID just show up to the poll and your good to go. The GoP obviously fight back but what can they do? They sue and the SCOTUS comes up with some ruling that justifies it 7 to 6. It's now legal precedent and that's that. Voter ID is dead, mail in ballots are now mandatory in all states.
Now the Democrats move to add Puerto Rico as a state, easy-peasy. They have the votes in both houses and within a week it's done. 3 months later elections are over and the Dems have 2 new Senators and 7 more House Reps.
Next is DC, which would need an amendment, but Newsome goes to the SCOTUS and they rubber stamp his new agenda 6 to 7 again and the house passes the DC state law. Now the Dem have 2 MORE senators and 4 more House reps. They can do whatever they want. They own the country and it's 100% legal. They start passing more laws, gun control, immigration, amnesty, troons everywhere, more taxes. What ever they want, it's go buck wild time and there is nothing any GoP member can do about it. Everything is done by the book but they take every opportunity to permanently solidify their control.
So what then? Do you think most Red states just sit and take it? I see Texas telling DC that they will not enforce any of these new laws or taxes. They reach out to other Red states and form a coalition of states that refuse to enforce any of the new laws or pay out the new taxes to DC. Then what? Do you think the Democrats will just allow half the country to ignore them?
Tensions rise. Lots of fiery rhetoric from both sides but we all know the Democrats will push hard, using the MSM they will paint the rebellious states as the next great Nazi rise or such. Something breaks, some stupid government agent, drunk on power and riding the wave of hatred, oversteps their authority on one side or the other and moves to arrest some politician. A struggle ensure, shots are fired and suddenly the country is on the brink of war. DC demands arrests and punishments, the Coalition won't turn anyone over and everything boils over. From here anything can happen but sooner or later the Feds will be forced to move against the rebel states or the Union is over and I just can't see the DNC elites letting more then half the country go free from their control.
That's just my opinion of how it could happen.
