Linus is a sanctimonious cunt. A good example of this: There was a rule in the LMG employee handbook that employees nor their families could own shares in tech companies. But then Linus one day decided HE could ignore that rule and invested money in the laptop manufacturer Framework. And once that investment was made, did Linus recuse himself from LTT videos covering Framework laptops? No of course not and in fact was in than more than he otherwise would. Before he left, Alex was the laptop review guy and I can recall Linus being in a Framework review video where if it was any other laptop it would have been Alex doing the review. There were also some shaddy disclosures in some of the Framework videos, like being text only and flashing up briefly on the screen part way through the video, making them easy to miss if you weren't paying attention.
So Linus loves to peacock about consumer rights and ethics, but when it's in his own interest that all goes straight out the window.
