Like, because they were sexualized or overly feminine, they weren’t as strong compared to today’s female characters.
I thought Fair For Its Day was supposed to be for stuff that seemed progressive but was still set in stereotypes. I saw Leeron from Gurren Lagann get that trope because he was an okama stereotype from head to toe, but still an unambiguous good guy.
