Satanic motifs are still within the Christian milieu, given that Satanism is a quite literal inversion of the morals and theology of Christianity. Santeria is similarly a merging of Christianity and West African religions. Notably still not an expression of historical Mesoamerican religion. If the exercise is to justify some sort of Narco takeover to Aztec Revival path in like TFR or something for Mexico, I don't think it needs to be accurate or authentic, and you can just do that, ffs Kaiserredux has TWO Aztec "revival" paths for Mexico. I don't recall the Goldshirts having a Mesoamericanist platform, or any of their leadership really believing in that sort of thing, so really, when you're getting wacky, worrying about whether it is accurate is unnecessary.Ignoring that we already have one of the clearest-cut cases of this in Constanzo's Narcosatanists, drug cartels are infamous for having practices inspired by satanism or santeria. I guess leaving severed heads on shrines to Santa Meurte, something unambiguously and unequivocally condemned by the Catholic church, can 'send a message', but so does just recording the executions and uploading them online. I don't know, I think going the whole extra mile and incorporating satanic elements into your executions or making initiates partake in cannibalism may have more to do than just trying to scare politicians into turning a blind eye to drug trafficking.
