US AID propped up the husband's NGO. Now that the gravy train is over they are on welfare!!!!!!!
How the fuck are they on welfare after around a year or so of USAID shutting down? Do these retards just fritter away all their income as soon as the payday check hits their accounts?
She had worked for more than two decades at $175,000 a year, so assuming uncharitably that's the average salary amount for her time at the organization, that's $3.5 MILLION before taxes. Her husband also worked for a non-profit funded by that parasitic organization, so >$3,500,000 joint income for a DINK household over the course of two decades. I'm supposed to feel sympathetic for these leeches who couldn't figure out how to stash away a substantial rainy day fund or invest their hard earned shekels pilfered from the American taxpayer's pocket?
Also this made me get slightly MATI and I went digging to find the average salaries in the US during the early aughties as a comparison of how grossly overpaid this woman probably was and came across an abstract from the treasury department:
Treasury Department Statistical Abstract
Feel free to correct me on this since I'm not much for statistical analysis and may be misinterpreting it. Near as I can tell the average pay during this time period for non-federal employees went up from $35,323 to $45,563 over the course of 8 years, or an increase of 3.6% annually. During the same time period though the pay for federal employees went up from $46,228 to $66,293, or an increase of 5.42% annually. Also noticed the employment figures show the overall job market outside of federal government work was steadily increasing as it would with a growing population, whereas the federal government employment figures stay roughly the same during the same time period.
TL;DR, maybe I'm misreading these stats but it looks like a longstanding grift where federal employees maintained a closed ecosystem with jobs working for the government, and were able to use that to set themselves up with cushy ballooning paychecks that put themselves well above the average person's salary. Fuck these deadbeat losers, they should've been tossed to the curb years ago.
