Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, rose to fame as the face of “looksmaxxing,” an online subculture devoted to going to extreme measures to maximize attractiveness, including using a hammer to create microfractures in the hopes of increasing jaw size and taking methamphetamines for weight loss.
Calvicular was invited to Substack’s “New Media Party,” which the company says will bring together “an ideologically diverse mix of Substack writers, journalists, politicos, elected officials, and the thinkers and tastemakers shaping today’s cultural conversation.”
It’s unclear which of these categories Substack thinks Clavicular falls into.
The night after a video clip of his suspected overdose went viral — an experience the polarizing influencer called “brutal” in a post on X — he attended the grand opening of his new venture, Bacara Club, on April 15 and admitted that his father didn’t attend the event even though a “life support mask” had just been used to save his life.
“I wanted my dad to come because he was here, but he didn’t come,” Clavicular said during a livestream of the opening night festivities.
Clavicular also shared with his fans on Kick that he “can’t IRL stream” anymore because he’s quitting the “substances” he was using to help him get through the extended livestreams he had been doing.
“I have to figure out a new method,” he said. "Either practice mogging sober or just find a new form of content. I don’t know. It’s f—king done for.”
This comes just days after Clavicular insulted the host of 60 Minutes Australia and walked out of the interview when he was asked about his connection to incel (involuntary celibate) culture.
The influencer has been going viral consistently all year, including for his multiple interactions with trans women and for livestreaming a fight between two women that led to his arrest on charges of misdemeanor battery and criminal conspiracy to commit battery, the BBC reports.

Then he posts something on social media that intimates things are getting better (even if they aren't), the market goes up, and they cash in. Some people look at Escape from New York as fantasy. I see it as inspiration. Trump has three carrier groups near the Hormuz Strait. Retask one to one of those man-made Chinese islands. Empty it. Finance people will claim "noo there's tons of complex factors that influence stocks blablabla"- wrong, the only deciding factor is stockholder's perception of whether the stocks are worth holding. "But-but-but their perception is based on facts-" Wrong, its entirely based on whether others will buy/sell. "But that is based on whether people think there is a good reason to buy or sell-" And what is that based on? Faulty perceptions caused by market manipulation? "Predictions" made by people trying to manipulate perceptions so they can be the first to sell high and buy low?
People rightfully rag on Trump for fact that he misrepesents/lies about his wealth to create an illusion of success....but he is the kind of person who knows that the illusion of success/wealth works, if you want to get money from others, and it follows that lying to manipulate the stock market is an easy leap from that. Despite having questionable financial knowledge, Trump understands that the core of the stock market is perception, and acts accordingly to manipulate it. It might be one of the few examples of him actually grasping the core workings of a particular thing, albeit he uses it to selfish ends.
