lol not sure if it’s true but it reminds me of a Broadway lyric:

“At Bryn Mawr I was top of my class! All the boys were underneath”

Because he’s GAY

LET'S ALL DRIVE LESS! Give it three years and the next Soylent Chevron executive is going to recommend we “eat less” too.

Its amazing how they built this country to have the shittiest public transport, encouraged everyone to buy big trucks and now are like “lol drive less losers.”

2025: buy less toys for Christmas
2026: Drive less
2027: stop needing healthcare probably

Sure, that’s feasible. As soon as we have reliable alternative modes of transportation, such as a bus system that doesn’t take you two hours to get somewhere that would take 20 mins by car.

Or a greatly expanded commuter rail system. We could have had all that decades ago but the automobile industry lobby dumped loads of money into reelection campaigns while screeching about “muh pwafits”.

Have you tried not getting cancer libtard?

They’re operating on the old standard of “fuck you I got mine”.

Funny to see the speedrun into "You will own nothing and be happy" and it's getting cheered on. Next: "We should create walkable cities to lessen our dependency on cars and oil.". They will cheer it on as soon as it comes out of Trumps mouth.

Some of this warms my heart as environmentalist. Oil prices are something I do like, but I also consume very little of it. Prices will hit the people that consume the most harder though. And up there is sadly the US. Yeah the US does sell a lot. But that's only a benefit if you have equity in said companies.

Remember when that was seen as the arrival of Big Brother during the pandemic?

Americans SHOULD walk more and SHOULD utilize public transit more. Too bad our country sold its soul out to the car lobby and the rubber lobby back in the 1950s and turned us into a nation of gas guzzling lunatics who are so dependent on cars to get around. Cities like LA used to have extensive street car networks, all wiped away by the car lobby.

The average American / American family doesn’t need more than one car, doesn’t need an SUV or mega truck and would be just fine with a sedan, doesn’t need to drive the half mile to their kids’ school — and yet MUH FREEDUMS have convinced (the poorest and most stupid of us) that these things are necessary and required to have a decent life.

US is so comically underdeveloped that the Republicans spared Amtrak because too many Rs protested that their districts would become ghost towns.

They haven't fully killed off USPS for similar reasons (besides it being enshrined in the Constitution). Amazon won't send mail to Republican voters 'cause it's not profitable.

That’s what living in a red state gets you! They want you to be car dependent, fat, and lazy. These states never fund public transit because the GOP helps push the stigma of transit being for “the poors” and the white aspirational GOP poor think they’re not poor, so they too believe they’re too good for the train and decide it’s much better to lease an SUV every year.

It takes me 30 mins door to door on the train to get to work, including the walk to the station. Oh, but something something libtard city in a libtard state.

Not only that, but get the biggest car even if you don't need it or you're liberal and gay

It's so funny how the part of the country that whines about third-worlders being bad are themselves living in a third-world shithole. Projection much?

You go to the most urbanized, developed parts of America, to NYC, San Francisco, even Austin Texas, and they're all Blue strongholds. Must be something in the water that turns them all into liberals......or maybe they just want to have a functioning state and society......

Is Sharon the whole sample?
No, but she ate the whole sample.

Laughs in functional legs and ebike.
Isn't it nice to live in a safe Eurofag city where everything I ever need is just 10 minutes of walking away?

If you want to understand the average fat burger mindset, there's an entire thread where people seethe at smug reddit urbanist channels like NotJustBikes. The average burger thinks BEEG CAR and a loisence to drive it (that they can track you with and used as an ID) is FREEDUMS.

I spent the last decade in a civilized, clean country with a strong sense of “my behavior affects the people around me.” Amazing public transit. National health insurance that is easy to use and not like the horrors you hear in Canada or the UK. Roads are maintained. Potholes filled LITERALLY overnight. Kids can walk to school. Everything was within a 10 min walk (because I lived in a city; rural This Country is not so great).

Sounds gay and liberal, but the place is also notoriously right-wing and hates the gays and non-Western immigrants. It’s almost like caring for your citizens and putting them first is actually nationalistic and not liberal lol.

Moved back to the U.S. and it’s so embarrassing. It is a third world shithole here. I’ve been to places like LAOS and they were cleaner than America and offered health insurance to their citizens. Like fuck. Living abroad radicalized me toward domestic spending in ways the GOP could never fathom.

It's funny, living in the third world gave me fresh eyes and brought me to the same conclusion, but for the opposite reason: I see in America exactly the same backwards shit I saw down there. The difference is that things are getting better for a lot of third worlders, but America seems to be deteriorating.

I remember the right losing their damn minds over the idea of walkable cities but ding remember why.

I’m having a vision of the future: billionaires will come in to start investing in small towns, creating company cities of yore where you live and die by the bottom line. Oh you’ll be paid, in a credit system that can only be used at the company run store!

I not only saw that movie, I got ancestors who were extras in it.
