I figured this would happen, I didn't expect it to be so quickly though. I've mentioned Esther here before but:I'm curious, between muslim durka durka factions, woke leftists, and now the autistic right, how does it feel to know that damn near every single group that cheered on Oct 7 has been buck broken in just a 2.5 year span?
The verse describes when the rest of the events of the Megilla occurred: “After these events did King Ahasuerus promote Haman” (Esther 3:1). The Gemara asks: After what particular events? Rava said: Only after the Holy One, Blessed be He, created a remedy for the blow and set in place the chain of events that would lead to the miraculous salvation was Haman appointed, setting the stage for the decree against the Jews to be issued.
Rava explains: As Reish Lakish said: The Holy One, Blessed be He, does not strike at the Jewish people unless He has already created a remedy for them beforehand, as it is stated: “When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered” (Hosea 7:1)
Netanyahu played it smart and knocked out Hamas first while allowing Hezbollah to evacuate the North, something his hawkish cabinet said he shouldn't have done. What's not well known is that Netanyahu is infamously cautious and isn't a hawk, he moves slowly and doesn't allow hawks to change his policies. Gallant and Gantz were advocating hitting Hezbollah in November of 2023 but Netanyahu refused.
The storm from the autistic right and such was a problem but it solved itself as antisemitism became mainstream, it was no longer the cool edgy thing and philosemitism became the cool edgy thing. We reached an equilibrium here where it's more than before but it's semi accepted/semi laughed at. May actually benefit Jews in the long run.
