Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

They will, trust me, this is going to be Trump's way out of his telegraphed threat.
Not sure what comes out of it after the 2 weeks though, and if Israel will be able to not chimp out during the casefire phase...
A two week extension will just be another two weeks of back and forth bomb/missile/drone slapfighting and Twitter wars. I don't think Pakistan is pushing for this, it's Iran doing their typical stalling tactics and reindeer games. They need those two weeks to get more of their shit dug out, get other infrastructure repaired, bring in additional weapons from Russia, call in additional forces from Iraq and try and jawbone the Houthis into doing ANYTHING more than a couple of "look, I'm helping!" missile launches at Israel a day, and dig in their PMF tards within the cities to put down any uprisings. The Pakis are just the messenger. And since the planes are apparently in the air, at this stage it's going to take an act of God or Iran figuring out the magic words to sweet-talk Trump into agreeing to something before the bombs drop.

It's been a while since I've had a proper Iran flag update. What color is their flag at this moment, is it still the black flag of revenge or has it gotten edgier since?
Much like Null, I am a flag sperg. I personally think Iran has one of the coolest flags. The pattern (durka text?) lining the color transition is definitely a cool design. IMO it's an A tier flag, could be S(need) tier if it was a chevron.

edit: clarification.

Without power, fuel and water they will have nothing to eat or drink or fire. The IRGC is already having trouble paying and feeding troops.

How long would you stay at your post with nothing to eat or drink, no ammunition, no chain of command and no communication with the rest of the world?
If I were militant adherent to a death cult where dying in bloody battle against the kuffar guaranteed me a spot in Heaven? Indefinitely, I guess.

will power plants and bridges actually be the target though
might just be misdirection, i could see them just go for something totally different instead. like, port facilities or oil industry or an invasion of one of those islands off the coast
You have now reached the final form of Trump's chessboard where he has thrown so much bullshit no one can tell if he's serious or not.

Even MedMan is worried about Trump using NBC ordinance. Come on, stop kvetching and calm down.
Unless it's like a specific nuke case use - (i.e. a nuclear bunker buster) - resorting to using nukes isn't exactly "winning" energy.
I am spoilering this because its such massive levels of "Just Trust Me, Bro" I hate to post, especially since I'm sure the disinfo is going to hit massive levels over the next two hours.

but per Sources Familiar with the Matter(tm) someone in the Trump admin has asked about options/timelines for a nuclear GBU-37. The theory would be combination extreme fuck-you for nuclear stockpiles buried deep, with the potential for the neutron burst to trigger the HEU to react; I dunno if UHF will split or not. They were also just asking about feasibility so that doesn't mean it'll get to reality.

But that is the only way I could see Trump deploying anything non-conventional - an underground hit on their nuke program. Which would be something you could sell.

THEY'RE MOCKING YOU, DON! DO IT! DO IT IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN TO AVOID THE CRINGE "TACO TUESDAY" SPAM!

Hopefully Iranians enjoying their last two hours in the 21st century.

British military personnel have been withdrawn from Iraq and upcoming deployments cancelled due to rising tensions in the Iran War, according to The i Paper.️ The move is driven by concerns over both safety risks and broader strategic implications, like British troops embedded alongside U.S. forces could become targets.
But Iran is a rational actor. Why would they hit the troops of an uninvolved neutral nation like the UK?

I don't see the Russians bombing Iran right now, so I have to disagree.
YET.

I doubt it would even get that far.
I'd be willing to bet (though I hope I never see it proven one way or another) that any nuclear strike order for anything less than a full-on nuclear war or the imminent destruction of the state by a foreign power would be met with almost everyone relevant to the process refusing the order.
That's definitely the case in first world countries, and I'll risk being called naive by saying that even in countries like North Korea, an order to launch the nukes for any reason other than one last fuck-you before US Marines burst into Pyongyang would be refused outright.
This is extremely retarded. You do not have people willing to disobey orders in the nuclear chain of command.

Everyone makes too much of the Soviet guy who ignored the radar launch warning without realizing:
1) The system was known to be glitchy.
2) There was no geopolitical tensions at the time so the guy figured it was a false alarm.
3) He figured if the US was going to start WWIII it wouldn't be with a single missile.
4) He had no launch authority. If it had been WWIII he was to call his superior who would call the kremlin.
5) He DID call his superior, relayed the alert and his opinion, and the superior agreed there was no point waking up half the kremlin but to monitor the situation closely.

the only way someone maybe bucks orders if they think that the launch will trigger mutual annihilation, such they feel that its worth risking their life on a treason charge; Iran has no nukes.

They even remove all the doors on the stalls so you can't crank your hog.
That only stops the weak.

b52's turned around apparently can someone more familiar with flight radars confirm this.
damn it. Trump failed the mission seeing multiple sources saying a deal was reached.
The :optimistic: answer is that Iran collective decided this wasn't worth teaching 72 virgins how to have sex for all eterinity.

In reality, we need to know more details. If true, my biggest concern is Israel going "It's now or never" and attacking anyway. But Trump is one of the few people they're willing to listen to, even if it's through gritted teeth.
