I don't live in US and I don't know how your system works so I'm curious. What would actually happen if Trump ordered or tried to order a nuclear strike against Iran in the current situation?
Would he have to get some kind of approval for the strike and/or would there be any other people who would have to agree with the strike for it to go through? Is there anyone who could veto the strike before it happens? I mean legally, I don't mean people refusing to execute his orders because of their morals etc.

The nukes are weapons. The constitution makes the president responsible for them as Commander in Chief. I don't think a law restricting the president's authority to use nuclear weapons would even be constitutional. He doesn't have the authority to construct them since among other things he can't authorize spending, but once they exist they're his.

One thing I'm concerned with regarding the IRGC. All their heavy artillery and vehicles have been annihilated, their force projection is effectively neutered. However, I have but one concern, how is the military to deal with ground units? The IRGC is still an army of Jihadis with small arms, and the problems posed by Iran don't go away until the IRGC goes away. Regime change means nothing if they're left alive. So the question is how are they to be dealt with?

Without power, fuel and water they will have nothing to eat or drink or fire. The IRGC is already having trouble paying and feeding troops.

I am 90% certain that is the TF34 engine to an A-10 Warthog. Just going by size and shape. There are a few other planes that use the same or a similar engine. The US Navy S-3 Viking uses it. But I believe they are all retired? The Bombardier CRJ line of commercial aircraft and the Embraer E series uses the similar CF34.

The big tip off is the thing that it is sitting on is a jet engine cart.

This is called National Command Authority (NCA). The President exercises NCA as a function of his office, although others can also exercise NCA in some circumstances. There are some conditions for exercising NCA:

- Must have the authority to exercise NCA
- Must be of sound mind and body
- Must be free from duress

Yes. All actions involving nuclear weapons are subject to the Two Man Concept. For example, the officer who carries the "nuclear football" has a code that must be entered in addition to the President's code. He is only authorized to enter this code if the President meets the conditions for exercising NCA. If the President is being held hostage, being blackmailed, or is insane, then he no longer has the qualifications for exercising NCA and orders for nuclear weapons use must be refused.

Anyone in the US military can request Conscientious Objector (CO) status at any time. After requesting CO status, they are removed from their position and detained. Military members who otherwise illegally refuse orders are also removed and detained.
