Yes, that's the guys in the bunker next to the silo. How about the commanders giving the order? That was probably the point being made.

Launching a nuclear strike, cannot be based on one person's decision. It's not even in the fucking 3rd world of Russia, Putin doesn't have the red button all to himself.

The president does not unilaterally decide nuclear targets. STRATCOM and JCS give nuclear options to the president when they are applicable, and if he chooses an option there is nobody in a position to both know that it is a real strike and stop him from doing it.

I like how some people think that it's just this button on the side of a president's desk that he can drunkenly hit. There are so many protocols and people that have to approve it solely for the reason to ensure that cooler heads prevail.
Although I like the idea that they gave Trump a phone and said that it goes to the guy with all the nukes and it just goes to JD Vance's office, and whenever that phone rings he puts a napkin in his mouth to change his voice and pretends to be some general with a nuke who launches a bomb wherever Trump tells him to. :story:

I remember reading a random /pol/ poster talk about his alleged experience in bootcamp where, when asked to give a strategy on how to defeat Iran, he proposed a genocide as the only possible path. He was given an "no uncertain terms" warning that he would be expelled if he ever said that again.

I wonder where he is now
